exactly. IMO Hamilton needs 2 things: .Stop hitting the cars in front of him when he wants to pass, specially his teamMate car.. .and more seriously I think he needs to go for 1 or 2 seasons at Force India just to learn school of life and humility.
I think what you mean is how to drive round in a procession following the car in front.. I want to watch racing and this guy is having a damn good shot at it, it's bad enough with the rules as it is spoiling it, bollox to humility and life coaching. ,he was a programmed robot on here last year jeeez.....
Well i don't think hitting the car in front of you it's racing..... If you like to see cars runing in each other stick to Nascar.
And I dont think sitting behind another car is racing ..but horses for courses.. I rather see someone try ,than sit there in a trance, even if they crash trying to do so. I watch/and go to BTCC racing ,and you can't get better for light contact racing, I would rather watch paint dry, than crapcar
1.) So driving past another car while racing and then losing it on the next corner and bailing out is no longer called "coming in too hot" or "not sticking the pass"? Since when did it become an invitation to shortcut chicanes? Have you ever raced? Because passes don't end with 1 corner. You don't get a freebie just cause you muscled your way in front of someone. 2.) No objection there. 3.) Hmm... do you think the Lunar landing and moonwalking were staged in Hollywood, too? 4.) My continued disgust of Hamilton is that nothing he does on the racetrack enhances his character, and nothing he says does either. He passes by chopping in front of people, and he acts like ******. WDC material? Perhaps. My kind of driver? No. Everything he says sounds like it was from a rap song. It is retarded. I swear he's gonna come out with an album one day.
He sounds like Montoya without the latin accent His comments are pretty much similar to any driver fighting for the title. Everyone doesn't need to nitpick every little word/sentence he says, the results at the end of the day speak for themselves. To the guys in this thread complaining that Lewis gets hated on.... well this is a Ferrari Forum... WHAT DO U EXPECT!! hahaha. Im sure if you went to a mclaren based forum they wouldn't be too kind on Ferrari drivers...
He is a rapper now ....!!! Say it to his face when you get him to sign his new Album called: (I'am sorry Fchatters for not kissing your asses).......
I'm trying to be more PC on FChat but everyone who knows me knows I call him P.Diddy. The press conferences with him are outrageous. "Oh, fo sho'." "Aiight." etc. I'm telling you... its only a matter of time. Lil Benzo will probably be his rap name.
I think he is just too agressive. His aggressiveness and desire to only be 1st are costing him valuable points, and not to mention respect. I believe all of his mistakes have been related to him making overly aggressive decisions. He's new to F1, young, and in a top car. I think it's going to take him another year or two to mellow out, and then he'll really start showing what he's capable of hopefully.
I think he's a brilliant driver and an awesome talent. He's young and in his second year of F1. He's making a few mistakes, but who didn't at his age? Were all of you perfect at 23? Why the double standard for him? Anyways, if he calms down a bit, he'll have more consistent results. I think people are just waiting to criticize him for anything, but that's OK, he'll get on with his job.
He is an arrogant young talented fella and he needs to hire a good GOOD PR manager and learn how to stay quiet. And he is seriously overrated right now.
Because, Mike, like most of F1, this thread is loaded with rabid Ferrari fans. Not much of a surprise considering the name of the site. I agree Hamilton's performance this season has been lackluster, but considering McLaren lost their leading developing driver this season it's no surprise. I might also remind the red-blooded commenters of this thread of a certain, Ferrari driver who's equally abysmal performance earlier had, at one time, put his job in jeopardy. He recovered quite nicely and so will Hamilton. Everyone just needs to relax, get into the healthy spirit of competition and leave the hater-aid at the door. Besides, who wants to watch a series where the same team wins every season? Where's the sport in that?
Your right but all he has to do is say "Sorry mates, I made a mistake" but he wont and thats what will attract more fleas to him. I really think that his Dad is the problem. On another note..here is some stuff on everyones favourite driver ......Alonso. Renault not ready for podium - Alonso Hopes dashed at Magny-Cours 23/06/08 14:51 Zoom No pace, no podium... Fernando Alonso said Magny-Cours delivered a dose of reality on Sunday, after earlier hoping for his first podium of the season from his high grid position. The Spaniard ultimately finished the race just eighth, lamenting that his Renault did not deliver good enough race pace. "On Saturday and before the race we were optimistic, but we need to be realistic," he told Telecinco. "We are really only fighting in the middle of the grid." Some analysts surmised that the 26-year-old former double World Champion's race strategy simply failed. But Alonso explained: "If you are slow and you can't get into a rhythm, your strategy doesn't matter." His countryman Marc Gene, a test driver for Ferrari, agreed that Alonso's unfulfilled potential was the "negative surprise" of the French Grand Prix. "We expected much more from him," Gene wrote in the Spanish newspaper El Mundo. "Even at Ferrari we thought he was going to be our competitor. " The German newspaper FAZ reports that Alonso is growing impatient with Renault, and that the feeling may also be mutual by many inside the French squad's pits. One engineer is quoted as saying: "Fernando thinks only about Fernando. (In Canada) he wasn't even at the after-race briefing." Engineering chief Pat Symonds, however, insists that Alonso is wanted: "The bottom line is that we are the best choice for him." "If he would drive with us out of this crisis, he would be a hero," the Briton added. © CAPSIS International Source: GMM
No probs.. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/68130 And here's one...unrelated but , http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_3384638,00.html
Maybe if Lewis did not try to rev and redline his engine every time he drove past the Ferrari pits at Montreal, he might have seen the red light. He did that every time he pass the Ferrari garage the entire weekend. Lewis has a long way to go to becomming a World Champion.
Ha ha, didnt know he did that!!, well you have sure changed your mind about him....but bash away. I enjoy watching him, I think he is the best thing to happen to F1 for years.. My worry was he would keep running away with it at first, but alas he ain't so it's all good..
He did? LOL that's awesome, normally I don't like Lewis too much, but that just made me like him a bit more.
My opinion has not changed about Lewis. I also noticed all of the "Lewis fans" and how they switched there hats after he drove into Kimi. By the way Business must be pretty bad when you can post all day long when you are a MD. Do you need an assistant or are you addicted to FerrariChat :}
LOL...I like your cheek, I'am a bit of a maverick type ,addicted to F1 !! and I'am good at multi-tasking or should I say delegating.. But I will take your advice and stop responding to all I read , it winds me up to much. If business was that bad I wouldn't need a assistant now would I....put your LH hat back on ,see what I can do...
Having a few wheel lengths ahead of the driver who HAS the racing line does not make it ok! Lewis was clearly driving like an obsessed fool and rookie and too constantly nurture his adolescence and ego is simply a farce.
agreed, but point 4 is harsh for his driving style, he may be a wanker but I like the way he pushes hard, it's just that he needs to do it judiciously rather than forcing an error, Massa made a similar error last year and he was caned here over it but again I liked the idea he went for it and gave it a go. It's just the BS he comes out with off the track about the incidents that spoil the hard charging style I like, if he just said "well, I went for it and it didn't quite stick so that was how it panned out" he woud be fine but refusing to accept responsibility is rubbish
