Carl: I'm trying to keep the car true to its last racing trim, so I'm trying to avoid any changes to the car. Car actually comes with Brembo spare steel brakes. I also have a spare stroked engine etc.. Regrettably for me, it's always the part I don't have spares of that breaks. Hubs I was lucky to get Pankl to make me some but that was not a cheap exercise. I'm so poor now I have to race in a 997 Cup.
We have a much more modern version of the DAS4 now in stock. Straight plug in swap and i still have all of the config files and engine maps for that car. That was the option.
One should get a hand on a Prodrive 550GTS In 99,9% of the races it drove circles around a 575GTC. I have seen both cars at Le Mans 2004.......even after a new more powerfull engine in the car, the 550GTS still was much much quicker and very very well engineered. Ferrari was so stupid not to cooperate with Prodrive.
I wrote to ProDrive several years ago seeking a 550GTS - they had nothing nor reference to an available car. Ferrari's non-cooperation with ProDrive on the 550 recalled the arrogance of the Commendatore, n'est-ce pas? P.S. isn't this the tenth anniversary of the ProDrove 550's GT championship season?
