When I was younger, my dad and I used to collect stamps. I have a jar full of them back home. We then moved onto the state coins. I collect Hot Wheels, hard to resist opening them too :D

We collect DVDs.... only originals... so far (as of today) 2,115....

All either movies we enjoy, or tv series we like to watch....

We don't have satellite tv and don't watch the 'local' shows here... so about 7 years ago DVDs were the answer... and we enjoy it. My wife has a database set up, and we loan them out (we usually have 40-50 loaned out at any one time). The database is necessary, or we couldn't keep up with all the loaned out movies and shows...

I've got a crapload of baseball, football, basketball and hockey cards. As a fan of F1 I've always collected odds and ends, but have slowly let things go. I have about 30 Monaco GP posters, but my favorite piece is my Enzo Ferrari letter.

I collect watches (have about 60 right now)... I collect anything that I find interesting, unique, or cool. I have everything from $10 Walmart digital watches to some pretty nice ones like Omega, Rolex. I'd love to have a bunch of Pateks, AP, but I could literally spend millions on watches, so that will have to wait until I win divorce my rich future ex-wife.

I also collect 'vintage' radio control cars. I have several Tamiya Avantes, Egress, Turbo Optima Mid, Burns, etc. And I collect the associated gear (motors, radios, magazines). I have everything from NIB (new in box, never opened), to 'runners', mint condition display cars, etc.

Since I was a kid, I collected ham radio parts and old electronic bits. And then
a few years ago I found that the tens of thousands of such bits I collected were
worth a MINT on eBay!! So starting in 2002 I began selling them off - to date I
have sold probably 20,000 of these little bits of dross - that's how I bought my
first Ferrari :) Old radio parts are a LOT like old Ferrari parts - totally not available,
and worth a FORTUNE to those doing a restoration. (Also lots of old audio bits,
Match Box cars, and other bits from my past).

Picture below is just a tiny sampling. But to really get the 'big picture' go to
the following link - it's a BIG picture but fun to look at. Every time I drive Sofia
I think of all these little bits of stuff that turned into one big shiny object. And I
still have tens of thousands left to sell.

Link to big version just for fun: http://tinyurl.com/n8dmz6 Be sure to

    Hot Wheels, mainly.

I use to collect baseball hats growing up. In college I collected bottle caps off of every beer anyone drank at the house.

Nice to see some very eclectic tastes in this thread !

I collect Micronaut toys from the 70s...unfortunately (or fortunately) I now have every one in every color so now they just sit in storage.

I also have a small collection of 12 original 80s arcade cabinets. if I had more space in the house Id buy more.

Oh almost forgot...I have an extensive collection of crazy ex girlfriends !

I used to collect post cards since our family was always doing road trips. Now, I collect any scale model car and Hot Wheels. Nothing impressive by any means since I only started in the last couple years. I'm slowly trying to build up a Ferrari/Italian car memorabilia collection.
