Yes, I could do without the seats.

    #5 of 32 '94 factory challenge tb.

Raced in the challenge series out of Miller Motorcars team #70. I think it was the "deer slayer". It had hit a deer during practice at Road Atlanta in '95 I think. Raced the '95 season only. Did not race in '96.

For a deer slayer this car sure has been fixed up nice. I'd take a serious look if I were you. Get a mechanic with body shop experience to look it over if you are interested. You need to assess how hard the racing miles are. Pretty intriguing to me tho...

Absolutely agree....the desired Factory parts have been replaced in favor of bling after market. The CH factory seats and CH wheels would make a world of difference

I don't care much for the taste of the previous owner. Looks too bling bling. I would research and find out about the extent of damage and what was done to fix it. Price seems good for a Challenge car. I wonder if it is due for service now. If were me and the damage fix looks good, I would buy it and swap out the wheels, seats, steering wheel, replace the badge on the right side, swap out the tail light maybe.

Me too. I think it's a Gared Cars version. I certainly like the idea of round lights but wish a more factory-correct version existed. On the pictures (and it could simply be an optical illusion) the gap on the lower left side of the rear grill looks larger than the right-side gap. If so, I wonder......

Do a search. That car was sold from Prestige Imports back in 11/06 for $40K. Had the same wheels, but different seats and the original rear tail lights.

Check the link. Go down to the bottom of the 1st page.

I don't think it is worth $55K. Unless someone has put alot of time and money to make it right. It had alot of issues on the previous post.

And I really don't like the round tail light conversion. If you want round tail lights buy a 355!

As would the roll cage, brake ducts, etc., especially assuming you intend to track it.

Absolutely.....it is always a + to have as many of the OEM parts for these CH cars as possible even if you don't use them....just never know in the future if it could make the car alot more appealing to a car show judge, potential buyer, or a street walker...lol

Ok, This is the car I was thinking of. Alex Traverso of Scuderia Sportiva in scottsdale Az. Did a whole pile of work on this car a few months ago.
Fresh major, new clutch, X-OST, hyperflow cats, 355 tail light conversion etc... I think it also has different cams. This car is very fast. The A/C is frosty cold which I wish mine was. I remember when my mondial was in for service he had the doors apart and was updating the wiring and giving the windows a speed booster. I know the previous owner spent a small fortune on this thing. As much as I love my car I wish this one was available when I was looking. For someone who is interested this is worth seeing.

Bingo! Now, I know the car. Those parts went to Arizona in January. The receipts will show Ricambi.

yeah all the conversions I've seen in pictures look odd to me. I've been thinking maybe more of an F40 look with a mesh grill behind the round lights might look good. Something like in the pic below, but with the lights angled to be straight? That could look hot!

Although I like the above picture, don't do it. The 328 lights used on that car are WAY too expensive. Use the 355/360 ones if you're going to retrofit.

p.s. The 355/360 ones are probably more heat resistant, as they are much closer to the engine than the 328 lamps ever were.

I've grown fond of the tail light strakes, so I won't be doing this any time soon. But if I were to do it, a scheme like the one above seems like the way to go on the 348. Notice how they had trim pieces made left and right near the fenders, that seems like the hardest part...
