The Black Cherry Ultra Classic is putting out about 110 hp (106 S&S kit as well as other go fast goodies) , did a trip this summer (Hoka Hey Challenge) from the southernmost point on the highway system in Key West to the westernmost point , in Homer Alaska , then back.

The Sidecar rig we picked up last April , flew the wife & then 19 month old out to San Diego and rode back to Tampa , not bad for the boy's 1st bike ride!

The Harley MT500 is a rare bike intended for the US Military and the contract got cancelled after 2 -300 were supposedly made (HD refuses to give out production number's , this one was #48) and could find a new home to someone really wanting it. Really different toride , since it was meant for troop use , the power curve is flat , kinda like riding a John Deere tractor ! And you have to love the gun case .

Here are a couple pics of my old girl:

1977 Kawasaki Kz650 Custom. Bought new by my brother, then I owned it before it rolled through a series of 5 or 6 owners who let it go to crap. When it came out it was the little brother to the Kz and could keep up in the twisties due to a better handling frame design.

I bought it back after a 20 year hiatus and did a frame up resto with a few little goodies. It can surprise some of the mid-size sportbikes outta the hole if I abuse it :)

Here is how it sits today:

    810 kit (bored 750 cylinders)
Gpz750 cams and GPz750 intake valves in a modified 650 head.
Mikuni smoothbores built by Wired George Carbs.
    Dyna Ignition.
    Barnett Racing Clutch.
    Beefier back tire.
    Step down seat (very slight)
    Moondust Silver.
    Mac Pipe
    Velocity Stacks
Stepped down drive gear sprocket (from 15-13)

Last time I ran it in the 1/8 mile drags (for fun...) I outran a Honda 750 Interceptor by a full second. When both bikes were brand new the Interceptor probably had a full second in the 1/4 mile so I think I have dialed in a decent combo.

Wouldn't that be a 6, if it was a factory racebike? IIRC AMA Supersport were 600cc inline-4 motors, and Superbikes were limited to 750cc (for inline-4s). The fairing looks more like the 600cc with the twin front ram-air intakes, as the 750s had the single large ram air intake to the side of the headlight/numberplate. I didn't think the 9 was raced by the factory.

I bet that bike is a blast to ride. Just looks fun. The new bikes have put on so much weight.

It's a 1997 ZX6R. I have a few racing shots, but they are prints that I need to scan to digital one of these days. I didn't race the Team bodywork, but I painted my bodywork the same color with my own sponsor stickers. Didn't want to destroy the pretty plastic. :)

I got t-boned in my last race, which pretty much destroyed the bike so current pictures would not be pretty. One day I may restore it, but I hate to disturb the spiders just yet.

I've been tempted to get the ExBox but may go with the Boom Tubes instead. How loud is yours compared to stock or Termis?

    Thanks

When you click on "Post Reply" you should get a page with windows. The top box will say "Reply to Thread" and the one below it will be titled "Additional Options." In that lower box you have the option of Attaching Files/Manage Attachments. I think that's the box to click.

2005 CBR1000RR, Raced it in 2005 & 2006, Won a class championship in Formula 1, got second overall in A Superstock & A Superbike. Sold it a couple years ago since I quit racing.

I Cant Bring myself to sell the 2003 Ducati 999S, It is a sweet bike and fun to ride... I wouldn't mind having a new 2011 1198SP!

I also have a couple dirt bikes... 2006 CRF450 & 2006 CRF50, the CRF50 is street legal, 88cc engine kit and a ton of other goodies!

A deeper tone than the boom tubes, but same noise. I've got the Termis, but the ExBox makes the bike lines flow better (to me at least.) I never liked the one-sided two-high design when an underseat or underbike was so easy.

I've scraped the Ex at full compression in a deep turn and I'm a small guy. I wouldn't trust how far those tubes stick out if you are a hard rider with a stock spring/soft setup.

Okay, that's good to know as I've read that the ExBox sounded "tinny". I do prefer a deeper tone but is it too loud for the street? I put a full D&D system on my Buell X1 Lighting and it sounded like the growl from and angry dragon, if you can imagine ;) However, it was waaayy too loud for the neighborhood.

No worries about scraping where I'm at (no curves) plus I weigh about a third of what the bike does.

Yes, the Monster looks much sleeker without the high-side pipes.

My S4RS (bottom pic) would look like this with the Quat-D (Black/Silver 2007).
