From that picture it almost looks like a replica. Why don't you go to the Ferrari ads section here instead to start out? Also you might want to check with Martin in the Florida section, he usually has alot of 348's, likes them very much and knows them inside out. Also was there an '89 348? I know the 328 ran into '89, not sure.

The 1989 model 348's have regular seat belts instead of the automatic mouse-motor seat belts...very cool. They also have a powerful dual clutch (great for handling extra power) whereas the later model 348's have a single.

That means 2 fewer computers and 2 fewer motors to be repaired later, plus a clutch that will last longer and handle any hot-rodding that you might care to do.

That particular 348 has had its lower black paint stripe removed. I favor the solid red look on 348's, but it is non-standard for the 1989.

Three other nice 348s on the market sold by Fchatters that are in your price range ...

    PeterS - 1992 348TS red/tan with 53k miles
    JoTec - 1991 348TS red/tan with 66k miles
    Frank164 - 1989 348TS red/tan with 35k miles

I have personally talked with Peter and Joe - they both are classy gentlemen and very straightforward. I haven't had a chance to speak to Frank.

Thanks for the referral speedy_sam. Much appreciated! :0)

J.murray, It’s not posted yet, but I have a 1989 348ts red/tan 35,600 in pristine condition. Car is beautiful. Clean carfax, I have documented service history since 1995 and all routine maintenance is up to date (this documentation includes owners service book "stamped" services for the 7,500, 15,000, 22,500 and 30,000 mile services). A comprehensive PPI was already done last month (Oct 2006). Here's a pic.

I just purchased the car last month and I was planning to keep it for a few years. Unfortunately, my wife is now pregnant and the funds could be better spent upgrading into a larger house....

If you’re truly interested, send me a PM.

    Thanks,
    Frank

"He did the red A/C panel lens mod! That's outstanding. No more odd green display inside the cockpit."

I am afraid I have missed something... How does he did it?

You just unscrew the A/C computer from the black housing, then you replace the green lens with a red lens.

You're too modest! I couldn't have done that without YOUR write up. Maybe post a link to that thread?

I still think that's it's pretty doggone cool that 348 Brothers are making this modification. It makes all of the difference in the world in the look of the 348 cockpit when driving at night.

True. That particular car has been for sale for about two years. It was for sale when I was in the market. It is a little high mileage, and I wonder if it has cosmetic / other issues since it has not sold for sooo long. The seller should get a new picture to keep the marketing fresh. I bought an 89 and it has been great.
