What do you think about this interior color combo?

Nice but a little too subtle for my tastes.

 

Boring I think is the wrong word. There's nothing wrong with subtle if subtle is what you want.

Subtle does not meaning boring, at least in my book.

 

I have seen an Italia with the dark brown leather and with some silver vent accents it is mind blowingly beautiful in an almost mid century retro way. If you Could get an exterior silver with brown under tones kinda like what one might see on an old 300 sl for example I think the combination would be stunning!

The video looks nice except I too am not a fan of blue, nor Alcantara. There is some Alcantara in my FF which I would probably not have chosen if I had put the order together, not a lot though.

However, if you plan to keep her then to paraphrase ... Get what you like and the hell with anyone else ... as long as you drive her every day! Resale does not matter! Having the time of your short life is all that matters, preferably at no one else's expense.

I'm an American and I love blue interiors! Go for it!

 

There is no simple answer to me. It depends on exterior color, which color blue leather, which interior trim (carbon vs metal), which color contrast stitching, and which style of seat you were to choose. But if general question is: does black/blue look good, I would have to say, "yes, it could look great if done right."

I would love to have Blue interior but I tend to keep my cars a year or less in general (it's a disease) and it would be difficult to get rid off.

 

Silver Maranellos with blue interiors are a much harder sell than nero, charcoal, tans (beige/cuoio), or bordeaux. Assume that would hold true for 599s and F12s, too. That paint color would be beautiful with a black and red interior, limiting the amount of red to about the same as the blue on that F12. But one of the tans or blacks is safer.

 

I'm not a fan of blue interiors, and I will not even consider a car if it has one. I also find that they seem to date quickly and even light wear on the leather makes it for some reason look very old. Go for it if you like, I'm just representing the buy side when you sell.

 

How about blue leather with yellow stiching? Or blue/beige bicolor interior with blue stiching?

 

Your sales guys are almost certainly right. It is more European than American in taste and would probablly cost you at sale time.

Having said that I personally think it lends a classy modern aura to the car, which will complement the argento exterior. It is especially so with the matte silver exterior. While I agree that the matte would be too fussy, going with a gloss silver does give up some of that ultra modern glow of the show car with the blue interior.

If it were me, I would choose one of the dark brown (darker than cuoio) special leathers. That would make for some "pop" when you open the door and convey a rich impression. I don't think these are very popular in the US either, but they should be easier to sell than the blue.

 

With the V12 cars, Bordeaux interiors work really well with silver exteriors. Very classy while still being visually stunning.

 

Right, just choose a black dash, steering wheel and carpets to go with the bordeaux. If you go for Daytona seats, contrasting black stripes look good, too, and so would an embroidered black cavallino. Same with red stripes for black or charcoal seats with red embroidered cavallino.

I'm European and I really dislike the blue interior.. I haven't seen it on a lot of Ferraris whatsoever so I'm guessing I'm not in the minority on this one.

With a silver metallic exterior I would suggest to go with a black or iroko interior with silver stitching.

 

I have that combination but with charcoal instead of blue (my 458) and it makes it come alive in a very nice way. Blue tends to look old to quickly (pain with a 599) goes greyish (many of the 06 astons here in London had it as well)
