What do you think of Howard Stern?

very very funny when jackie the joke man was on, but since hes been gone i dont think it is as funny..

Not a fan, even though I do find myself watching his show on E every once and a while. I must like the blurred babes?

 

Is his show going to be the same length as it is now? If so he'll need an extra hour's worth of material each day as lack of advertisements and promotions will make for more time to be used.

I think Stern's show is pretty stale right now, but why would he release new hip ideas at the end of his current contract to aid Viacom?

I think Howard will wind up owning quite a bit of the stock, as result of their inability to pay him. The question will be, is the stock worth anything if Howard wants to retire?

Jackie the jokeman was my neighbor in Bayville, NY many moons ago (for just a short period). Before that, I was his paperboy for a few years.

I've seen his act, which is hillarious.

Yes, I think the show has definately gone south in the past few years. It seems that after Howards divorce, he just went downhill.

I don't think of Howard Stern

 

Didn't really speak to him much. As his paperboy, he was never around when I was supposed to collect payment. As a result, I would see him just occasionally, and then he would owe me like $30 (this was over 20 years ago). He had this crummy stationwagon with tons of the Dirty dial a joke (922-wine) stickers all over it (these were the days before howard stern). The times I met him, he seemed nice enough, and a natural funny guy.

When he moved next door to us, we actually had sold our house, and were in the process of moving out in the next few weeks, so he was only my neighbor for about 2 weeks. My little brother spent alot of time in the old neighborhood afterwards and did get to meet him/know him. My brother said that after he moved in, he had a 308 (possibly 328?). By then, I was in college, and didn't really go back to the old neighborhood.

I'll miss Howard when he's on Sirius. I don't intend on getting it as I'm not in my car a lot and couldn't hear it in the Lotus anyway. He can be repetative at times but for all the years he's had a show, he keeps it pretty fresh and innovative.

He's an arrogant, pompous ass - I'd love to hear his show the day one of his side kicks has enough and belts him - other than that he can be entertaining sometimes -better than the giggle girls Bob and Tom

 

Stern is a jerk, not because he's vulgar or immoral, but because he makes a living by belittling his audience. The guy is very smart, and knows that he can prosper by exposing the inadequacies of people less intelligent than he is.

 

I don't necessarily agree with that theory.

I've been listening to O&A on XM for about a year now, and while you take everything they say with a grain of salt given the rivalry and all, they say that he is the world's biggest whiner off the air. If you're going to rag on somebody, but then run to the boss when they return the favor, I can't respect that.

He is ok at first, but after you listen to him for a while it all sounds the same.

 

I completely agree. It drives me crazy, he also has no clue about cars. He thinks people who own more than one car are crazy. The show can be funny at times but he has some very different view's.

 

Total Crap! He's riding the crest of the moral decline in america.

 

Somebodys going to do it....Wish it were me---making millions each year---I can live with that...
