Well, call me what you want but I finally had to step up and have a "proper" driving suit made for the track. My friends at Beverly Hills Motorsport produced this for me using the official and authentic team patches. So, I figure this should be good for at least 3 tenths a lap?

I would think it was real cool if it had your name on it ...

Pete's humble opinion ... but he never pretends to be anybody but himself

That is a cool track suit. Dont let critics put you down. There is nothing wrong in being a fan of the greatest race driver in F1 ever.

Post more pictures of it, front and back. Hope it reduces your lap times even further.

I agree, I would put my own name on it. Otherwise - awesome!

Well, I bought it mostly to go with my collection of MS stuff so in that light I thought it would look pretty silly with my name on it. It was a big debate so in the end Schui won out.

    Nice!

Is that the exact type of OMP racing suit Schumi wears?

If so, does anyone have a link to where you can buy it?

Also, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations above that particular driving suit (as I'm looking at buying a new one, for open-wheel racing).

It is and you can order it from any OMP dealer for about 1k (It is their top of the line - Technica is the model name). The patches are extra but if you are interested just PM me and I can give you the details.

Actually, that spacesuit has a slimming effect. After Nno took that picture, i was convinced to lay off the pasta and potatoes. Now, i've got the body of an 19 year old. Buried in my basement. Thanks for the chop, Nno.
Shuey 2k- I was just funnin' you. No malice intended. You should see how silly i look when i dress up to go riding. Its hard to find motorcycle clothes that don't make you look like a Ninja Turtle; the stuff they make for the cruiser types doesn't usually seem to offer much protection. So, i'm sort of designing my own line. (I'm kinda glad you aren't goin' to wear it, though; i hate wearing anything with labels, logos, etc.)

Very cool driving suit Shuey! Yeah, just put your flag & name on it. Now you need a matching helmet. Make sure to get the blood type right.

I know, I was amazed at how well it turned out. I don't anyone could really tell the difference, they did a great job. By the way if you want some patches just give Ralph a call at Beverly Hills Motorsport (310-854-0888)and tell him what you want, if they don't have (which they almost always do) they can get it for you.

By the way they do have an orginal Benenton Schumi suit for sale - it's only 10k.
