Hey Peter - I am currently restoring 381357! See my restoration story here - a work in progress. http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/limited-production-1960-1977/189167-restoration-giulia-ss-ar381357.html Colwater is correct re: the interiors - the earlier Giuliettas definitely have more jazzy, period interiors - the later Giulias are somewhat drab by comparison. I think the key to buying an SS is making sure you have all the glass and chrome - and any SS-specific bits. The rest of it is pretty available in Alfa-land; much more so than trying to find comparable 1960s Ferrari parts, IMO. and yes, the Giulia had disc brakes up front and the two-shoe drums at the rear. Values have definitely popped in a big way over the last 2 years; I often hear the lament in the Alfa world that "the Ferrari guys have discovered the SS!" Someone asked about production numbers; I believe Alfa made just under 1200 Giulietta SS's, and almost right at 1200 Giulia SS's. But as someone else pointed out, the survival rate is pretty low; most were eaten by rust and left to die. I am lucky to have an exception.
In terms of its design - the first time I saw an SS in person, it knocked me off my feet. I probably circled it for a good half hour - the curves never stop. All the 3/4 views are fantastic - the front fender line from the 3/4 from-the-rear view is practically Lusso-esque. the direct front and rear views are good as well. The only "bad" view of the car is the pure side profile, IMO. these are not of my car, but enjoy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful Bryan. I passed on a baby blue Giulia several years ago because I thought it was too expensive (less than half what they trade for now) , we live and learn. Good luck with the restoration, I am following it on alfabb.
Does anyone have a sense of the current market value for a condition 2 high nose SS? FJ has one priced at $195k, but they typically ask quite high, and I'm not sure it's much better than a 2-. A dealer called IAG has one with no price advertised, and it is on eBay. (Actually it's Giulia SS. Perhaps someone already pointed that out.)

I think the number now is supposed to be about 100 were made. US headlight height requirements made them change the nose.
