Just for kicks, I figured I post this image I did a while back when I was trying to get the carbon fiber parts business off the ground. It's a 348 version of the F50GT bumper.

Not for me. It seems too big for the car.

Don't like it at all....makes the car look like a cheap replicar. Maybe it is just the picture, but the side of the car even looks deformed.

Not for me either sorry. A little too much "lip" on the bottom making the 348 look like it belongs out of FF-Tokyo Drift..:)

Same feeling. It looks a lot like the TRD wide body kit for the SW20 MR2's.

Looks screwed up, especially from the side corner.....too bulky.
Best thing to do with it may be attack a speed bump at 30?

why not do a rear bumper cut high like the 360's so that a real difusser is made. Then you can sell a rear bumper and the undertray to get downforce less than the 360 but more than the 355. So you have the top of the bumper look like 348 and the bottom look like 360. You could even sell an aftermart exhaust that runs into the undertray. That speeds up the gases and you get exhaust suction and increased downforce. Beside, if you make it I won't have to.

I had actually spoken about making 348 and 355 undertrays with more advanced venturi tunnels underneath several years ago. Two main problems: cost - no one wants to put $10-15k into a $45k 348 (ironically, people will in a $15k Civic but that is a different demographic); and the current state of the piping, suspension, engine alignment etc in the 348/355 would make it a difficult project. Note that the 360's longitundinal engine appears to be mounted higher up than the 348/55, giving more space for airflow underneath.

The stock 348 front bumper already looks fantastic, but if done in carbon fiber would be amazing.

Likewise, if two front brake cut-outs could be placed *behind* the existing stock front metal 348 grill, along with air tubes to the brakes...then *that* would even be better.

Also, the new Ferrari 599 front bumper style would be right at home with the 348's body shape.

If you like the overall wedge body shape, which I do, such as the Lamborghini Murcie/Countach, then the 348 is about as close as you can get with Ferrari...most other Ferrari models emphasive curves more than wedge.

...and you can't really get away with a curvaceous or wide-body front bumper on a wedge shaped car (hence the negative comments by many).

Now, for *cheap* aftermarket 348 parts that would sell...consider making a chrome front grill. The 328's and 308's had chrome front grills on several models, but the 348's all used flat black.

That's an $800 OEM part that an aftermarket supply company could make for $75 and sell for $250. No one would buy OEM for that sort of price difference, and many would upgrade for looks alone.

Same for the rear bumper light grill on the 348 (and rear bonnet top grill), except that having it all chrome would be too much. Click on my avatar icon post-picture above-left to see a partial chrome rear grill.

Thanks! Quite the complement from the 348 guru. We are going to Lake Okeechobee with some local Florida Fchatters for a little photo shoot tomorrow AM. Hopefully the correct light will be available.
