I looked at a yellow/cream '89 Testarossa. It's only got 2600 miles on it and is in excellent shape. The is the first TR I've driven so I don't have anything to compare it to but the clutch and transmission felt great to me. It smoked for about 5 minutes on start up but went away after driving. I didn't get to see if there were any leaks after driving. The dealer (authorized Ferrari dealership) will do the major engine out for the buyer. Car is offered a fair amount higher than other TR's ($89k) due to the low mileage and condition. Here is a link to view pics.

Please let me know what you think and what I should look for as I'm very seriously considering this TR.

The one picture looks great. The low mile yellow makes it higher in price. For a little more I would get the 512tr. I have owned both and the 512 is such a modern car even though it looks the similar. The wheels are after market and do look good. If you drive it much the value is affected. The 512 is just so much more.

I think the asking price is right at 89K with the major thrown in and the miles. That being said once you put over 10K miles on the car I think the value is going to be around 70 - 80K depending on how much time is left on the major service.

    hello,

i don't care for the aftermarket wheels. if those don't bother you, there is a '91 yellow/tan TR at a well respected lotus/lamborghini dealership in the chicago [illinois] area with 26,XXX miles for $59K ask the pro's and they would say a 18 year old car driven 144 miles per year would be more problematic tha a 16 year old one driven 1,625 miles per year. plus it's two years newer and $30,000 less.

www.foxvalleymotorcars.com or ask "MVP MIKE" who posts here on occasion. he works there. good luck and keep us posted.

I'm selling my 1993 512 TR with 27K miles for $95,000.00. Just had a major service and the transmission was completely overhauled.

PM me for pics and other details.

Don't know the car itself but love the yellow + the wheels. Beautiful. If you have the means, I highly reccomend picking it up. :D(Obscure Beuller reference.)
