    Steve, if I recall correctly it's a kind of double sided mastic that comes in a roll, it's very "tacky" but not a permanent adhesive, Ferrari don't list an adhesive - though it might be worth speaking to a windscreen company or even your local glazing shop.

    3M and other companies make all sorts of structural sticky tape. Go to a local glass shop and ask for double sticky glazing tape. They will know what you mean. If you want something really tough look at the CR Lawrance catalauge online. Also look in the shower door section. They have uv curing tapes there.

    i got some BUTYL STRIP which is 3m stuff used on porsche back lights but stuck some on the old glass yesterday but its not that
    been told its vullcanised or bonded at the factory where they make the lights thought ferrari would of known though been on to ferrari technical but struggling really and i dont want it to come off and smash

    been on to them they say its bonded in and i need 3m products

    08603-cartridge
    08617-de greaser
    08614-black glass primer

    but nobody stocks it but also been told SICOFLEX EUROPHANE will do the job so ordered some and going to try it on the broken glass first this is what they recommend for bonding windscreens in

    Steve, please seek proffessional advice/service for this, and stop being such a tight wad.
    There is nothing worse than seeing an unsightly, wavy, inconsistent line of black sealant on the inside of lenses, windscreens etc.
    Besides, it will have to match the opposite unit, in depth, colour, width ?
    Could be worth having the "good" one removed and re-sealed.

    had the glass bonded in today by auto windscreens took them an hour to do it they applied 3 different chemicals but did a fantastic job
