I was thinking about this during my wonderful 2hr commute this AM. I used my horn multiple times, then I thought...hmmmmm
To let other drivers know that they are about to back their car into mine (used for this reason last night leaving dinner) Also to let people know to get off their cell phone because it's been a green light for a while and they're impeding traffic by sitting at the stoplight. Will.
That's why I drive with one hand firmly on the horn the whole way, anywhere and everywhere. Doesn't bother me a bit - I just take my hearing aid off and let the good times roll.
Hahahaha!! I don't use my horn as much as I flash my lights, tailgate, or run people off the road.. if I do it's because they're about to hit me.
Short horn tap--used for someone not going at a green light, someone doing some lane drifting (but hasn't crossed the line yet, etc.) Longer blow--used for somebody more closely violating my car's personal space, somebody who blocked the interesection, etc. Repeated long blows with a bouncing middle finger--used to reward general idiocy in driving, or to acknowledge LAMBO drivers...
My dad usually uses it to say "I'm in front of the house and there's no parkingspace, get in the bloody car NOW!"
