Ok, here is the thread for all the fans, dreamers, haters, you name it:

Tell us what you want, what you really, really want.

    Ferrari WCC/Hamiltons 2nd crown/Massas comeback/Sutils dominance/Pirellis tiregate/Whatever

or simply good racing. Up to you.

So what is it? Don't be shy :)

Ferrari to win the constructors. And an epic Ferrari v Mclaren on track gruge battle between Alonso and Lewis. With Lewis winning his second of his future 8 drivers championship titles:D........Please

Good racing - that's it. Everything else will take care of itself if the racing is good.....
Don't really care who wins the title either

Me? I want it to be an epic battle between Ferrari, Mclaren, Renault, Merc, RB boys. I want it to be a really unpredictable season. A bit like 1999 if you like. Oh yea...plenty of wet races please.

An amazing battle between Ferrari, Mclaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes, with the championship coming down to the last race again. I would like to see Ferrari or Mercedes win the titles, but if we have good racing, I really don't care who wins.

I don't want to see any safety car intrusions like we saw last year.

As the season goes on, I want to see progress from Austin.

I hope the tires are tough to manage, therefore we see more pitstops for tires due to guys going balls out, instead of 'managing'.

    Alex

I want to see the entire field within 2 seconds of one another in qualifying times. None of this 4 seconds off-pace business.

Should the top runners be Red Bull, Ferrari, MB, and Renault, I would be pleased. I do not want to see one team consistently dominate every qualy by .500 as the racing seems to then be more about the car than the driver at that point.

I like so many drivers it's difficult to chose who I would prefer AFTER Schumacher to win the title should W02 not be competitive. It would be a toss up between Ham, Button, and Vettel, but those who know me realize Schu is top of the heap for me.

First, I want everyone involved on every level to get through the season safely.

Second, I want some drama. I want back and forth racing in any event and I want teams and drivers to battle each other throughout the season.

Third, I want the sanctioning body and stewards to not be part of the results.

Fourth, I want to see some surprise in the season -- some driver that rises above or a technical marvel that makes everyone shake their head.

Fifth, I want some of the middle pact teams to show us some racing spirit. I want a new Super Aguri to emerge. I don't want them to go through the motions just to say they showed up for the sponsors.

Sixth, I'd be lying to say I don't want to see the boys in Red win at the end. But I want it to be a fair battle that can be had honorably. I want one they and the fans can be proud of.

A little maturity on the part of the F1 forum participants, minus the usual race-and-nationality baiting, would be nice.

    Not likely, but nice.

While I think a lot of good points have been raised on here, it somehow reminds me of the SNL skit with Steve Martin and his Christmas wishes, which really gets good about one minute in:

So lets be honest and cut to the core:

A hotly contested year. With Ferrari coming out on top with both championships just like 2007!

First, I would like to see less off track BS, and more on track passing. Second, I would also like to see MS get back on form and be a contender, or at least beat Nico on a consistent basis. Third, I'd like to see Massa really compete with Alonso. I'd prefer Massa to beat Alonso, but after last season, I'd be happy if he just ups his game to be near par with Alonso.

Best post I've seen. I can't believe at times how immature supposedly successful f1 fans can be. There's a difference between passion and acting like a punk...

Good enough quality racing to convert my dad from a NASCAR fan to an F1 fan (not likely to happen if 2010 didn't do it!).

You're asking for too much. You're asking for a crashing fan (nascar) to become a racing fan.

What is a successful F1 fan as opposed to an unsuccessful fan?

For a moment I was worried you're talking about me. Apparently not. :)

BTW: One thing I want from the 2011 season:

Meet you at the Canadian GP and hash a few things out over a beer.

    What I want:

Niki Lauda to win his fourth WDC.

Jackie Stewart to shut up and drive.

Martin Brundle in a competitive car.

Seriously though, this is a Ferrari site, so to expect anything less than a WDC and WCC is wrong.
Me? I just want to see good racing with no politics, rules 'issues', tire 'issues', or typical whining and crying that has been so prevalent the last couple of years.

lewis and jenson to have meltdowns
webber to get full and equal treatment from RB

I think you're missing a few things. We can meet in Canada, have a cage match, winner shuts up about Schumacher forever (Tillman can referee, or maybe Newman as he's up that way), and then have a beer (your pic). Keeping it light-hearted everyone

As for you Whisky, this is indeed a Ferrari site, BUT the forum section is called 'F1'. Anything F1 related goes although I am fully aware of the naturally Ferrari biased audience.

Schumi gets his 8th title. If not, then Vettel gets his 2nd.
    Ferrari wins the WCC.
Massa finishes the season one point ahead of Alonso, who then has a meltdown... :D

Alonso to have a complete meltdown and cry on live TV.
    Button to beat Hamilton
Schumacher to challenge for the title with Vettel and Kubica
Attempted overtakes at the very least..
