I think the guy is a great driver but he seems unable to reach his potential. He can't control his emotions I think. I always thought he would be the next MS. Now I think he will just bounce around for a few more years.

Definitely moving down in the sport if he can manage to hang on. It might be a better move for him to get out of F1, once you been on Williams and McLaren, and then move down to a lesser team, you are only doing it for the love of the game. I won't suppose that I can speak for JPM, but I suspect he is more the type that would rather win in a lesser series than be a backmarker in F1.
