    Hi,
I'm a little confused about the heating system in my 99 uk 360 Modena which I've had for 3 weeks.

If I press the stop button in, I get no heat in the car at all, even if I turn the temperature gauge to max, and the fan to max. Is this normal? The fan does work though as I go from speed 1 to 3. Moving the fan dial to "aut" results in no air flow at all (if the stop button is pushed in), regardless of temp selected.

I'm trying to get the cabin to heat up with the ac compressor switched off, like an "Econ" mode on other cars.

All I get with the stop button depressed is cold air, or ambient (outside temp ) air at best. Does anyone get heat in this situation?

    Thanks for your help.

My understanding is that the STOP button STOPS the compressor from operating.

I also get nothing if the stop is pressed...basically stops everything.
Me: Doctor, it hurts when I do this!
Doctor: Then stop doing it! ;)

This is the answer. It isn't a separate heating and cooling system. It is a climate control system so you get heat and/or cool as needed but only when the system is turned on.

It confused me too - If that's any consolation.

My cars a 08 F430F1 so I think little changed - Italian logic....

The whole unit appears to be switched on and off via this button, the compressor for the a/c must run only when required for cooling not all the time as on most systems.

you'll figure it out. Good luck

Kenny- Sounds nice. Scuro means dark, by the way. Assume she has a Blu Scuro interior and not Grigio Scuro.

My car has the same problem with Stop button in or out. Sometimes heater goes on sometimes doesn't. Same with the AC. Anyone knows what the problem might be.
