Nice country full of mainly wonderful people that should allow Quebec to secede...and then fail miserably & have to BEG to be allowed back into Cancda. Also, Americans view Canada as very weak on, if not turning a blind eye towards, terrorists in their midst.

If this is the ignorance of the people of the US..no wonder nobody likes you.
It seems that the dictatorship of Geroge Bush is taking a hold on the citizens of the US in a big way..A paranoid leader of a big country, is bring the rest of the world down with it.

At least we have the balls to say a big fat NO our big brother to the south, and there is not a thing they can do about it, but get all pissed off and moan like a spoiled little kid on Christmas who didn't get what they wanted.

You Americans just keep buying our Canadian t-shirts so you can travel outside your little box, so you don't have to worry about being the brunt of jokes or getting your ass kicked.

Ahh yes it's a fine time to be an American. The world just loves you.

Canada's a great place with great people, I might just move to Toronto or Vancouver someday. I've known Canadians, and they're the nicest people in the world, but G*D dam do u guys need to stop believing everything your left wing liberal eastern Canadian media has to say. Boy are you guys in for a shock when Fox New Channel comes north. It should me made manditory viewing by the socalists for a year for all Canadians, if for only the purpose of Canadians having a fair chance to make up their own minds.

    Go Leafs and Canadiens :)

To be honest, you all very rarely even enter my mind. As a whole you seem nice, but in an irrelevant way. Sorta like the description of Earth in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -- "mostly harmless"

No insults intended, but you did ask...

I've never met a Canadian who wasn't a nice person. I get the feeling that Canadians are "nice people."

I think Canadians are so nice that they're almost completely pacifistic! They definitely should be a little tougher and try to at least show people elsewhere in the world why they're relevant.

And by the way, as a conservative I will tell you that Ann Coulter is a complete embarassment to me. She is a terribly partisan human being with hatred in her heart. I'd like to debate her and show her why she is a "traitor" (as she would say) to conservatism.

I like Tucker. He is an open-minded person. He does bash Canada, but I think it's only to be funny. He's actually a pretty funny guy. Not that Canada-bashing is funny: I'm just saying he does that more to amuse himself than to communicate a real message.

    Tom,

I've read many of your posts on this site, so I know that you aren't directing that comment at me. :)

The truth is that much of the world DOES love America. What you see in the media is not representative. The liberal newspaper in the UK that said "How can 59 million people be so DUMB" is not representative of British public opinion. The British people are SO FRIENDLY! I love them! They have been so friendly to me--I get the feeling that the British people "love Americans." And I love them!

I've been to Europe pre- and post-9/11 and I can tell you that I haven't seen any change in the fact that I am welcomed as an American.

I'm fortunate to have extensive experience in Western Europe. I've been to the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, and Swtizerland, and I can tell you that the people of Europe are just so friendly. I've gotten the feeling time and again that they "love Americans." That may not be true, but most Europeans definitely don't "hate" Americans. There have been times when I felt underserving of the blind favor and smiles that I received simply because I was an American.

The people who "hate" Americans are the same ignorant, illiberal people who exist all over the world, including here in the United States. People who have blind prejudice for other people aren't even worth talking about. These people have always existed and will always continue to exist.

I think that privately, many Europeans, including the ones I am talking about who I have said "love Americans," disagree with our politics. And that is valid. But it certainly does not translate into hostile behavior in person. Most Western Europeans (except maybe for some of the French--some! Most are absolutely very friendly) couldn't be friendlier.

    Tom,

Again, this is blind prejudice. I would not be afraid to receive any hostility because I have the power to annihilate it by showing someone the utter contradiction in his claim to be "liberal" and "open" and at the same time having a blind prejudice for a fellow human being.

    The Canadian Rockies are........beyond words.

    Vancouver is awesome.

I also like the area and the folks around Lake Superior from Thunderbay to Sault Ste Marie. The stretch of highway that runs between International Falls to past Nipigon is stupendous....It begs to be driven in Ferraris.

You guys really do need to do something about all those long-arse winters though. Oh, and get rid of Quebec :D

Any country that has produced Shania Twain and Pamela Andeson must be doing something right :D

If I couldn't live in the US I would probably move there, but would hate every frickin' freezin' minute of the weather for half the year. Wisconsin was bad enough :(

Pamela's original frame was pure B.C born and bred but seems to have been pimped out thanks to the U.S. plastics industry. Some models just look better stock.

I tend to lean far enough to the right that I walk in circles but the blond hot rod on fox just got me all hot...never give a woman the floor unless her back is firmly on it. All bark and no bite. Good old grandpa taught me that while we were out beaver hunting and sled doggin' it.
