It means what it says in all the other threads here (as opposed to Google) - basically a more realistic sequence number than the chassis number - also referred to in the owner's handbook (which as we know real men never look at)

I've looked at it. It's really pretty sitting there, unopened, inside its leather cover...

Darn, and here I thought that you bought (or downloaded) and read the OM before buying the car. That way you didn't come across as a no-nothing person during the test drive. ;)

    Lol
It was 45 days after I bought my Ferrari to figure out my car payment was higher than my house payment ;)
I did sit and read the owners manual, it can be confusing at times.

All I'll say is don't believe everything you read in the owners manual!

On the whole it's a fantastic resource for the car (and gives you far more technical information than the likes of BMW would allow you to have!), but some of the information in the manual doesn't accurately relate to the car!

    For example:

Which way round does the TS/GTS hard top store behind the seats? - The manual shows it with the headlining facing the seat backs, but most owners say it has to sit with the outer surface facing the seat (some owners even state that you cannot locate the top as shown in the manual on their cars! [TBH, It's something that I've never looked into with My car!] )

How do the lower light covers come off?

The manual shows it being held in place with a screw, whereas in reality, they simply clip on with spring clips.

As I say, it's a great resource, but it's not perfect! (Bit like the car really! ;) )

    Perfect ;)
I have heard a liter of Italian red wine before reading the manual makes things much clearer, good thing I don't drink.
......if one is good two is better ;)
