I pulled the footwell relay board on my 80 400iA to check if everything looked ok and found this black relay on the floor. I tried to see if there was any obvious location for it but can't seem to locate. Can you any shed some light on it's purpose and location on the relay board?

The relay with 49/49a/31 is also a very common turn signal flasher relay available anywhere for $10-$15. Same pin configuration. But of course, if you have an emotional need to spend more.....Jq.
