I think the story was the cars were in a pole barn somewhere around Orlando. The owner was hiding them from the IRS. Hurricane Frances blew through in 2004 and tore the walls off.

Is there a thread here that tells what ever happened to them? Or does anyone know?

Google "Walter Medlin"....you only have some of the facts, the IRS had only seized one car for his tax liabilites, as it was a $4M one that was enough, the rest are his and will pass to his family...he went down to the courthouse and cut them a check.

He's an old guy by now, a real estate developer in the traditional South Florida sense.....

He has LOTS of barns but he is really only hiding them from us, and you! LOL!

There's been members here, that know him personally......I just send him a Christmas Card...;)

I doubt a full inventory of his cars is in the Public domain......although I'm sure Jim would confirm, if this is the case......

So sad to see those cars sitting there in such disrepair.

That picture is nothing compared to the other Ferraris he is got, those are boring stuff. A friend I know has been to his barn and showed me pictures he took and he is got stuff I couldn't believe, but a lot restoration is needed.

Sounds like an amazing collection and a shame we know nothing more of it, pictures would be fantastic irrespective of the condition.

That is quite the collection. I'm definitely going to look twice when I pass by a ratty old barn.
