Saw a couple of questions about the 360 blip sounds but no answers.

I recall reading the mufflers of recent cars have an internal valve to meet the European sound requirements to be virtually silent at street speeds but open up tubi-style, removing chambering restrictions at something like 4k. Blipping take the exhaust into the nether world of sonorous pulchritude.

That said perhaps it will spur a longer more detailed response from a more informed f_chatter.
