Any new info out of Ferrari on this?
Good question. I've been wondering the same thing. Can't believe this thread is from 1.25 years ago already... time flies.
I've got to have a look at a few F1 tubs over the last decade or so adn I must say that the one's for the last few years were built for a good time, not a long time! Those who think they can buy one and use it for years as an historic will end up with a rude shock like this guy got.
I am going to go out on a limb here. after noticing that the driver sits a good bit higher than MS or irvine would have. and because that is far to clean of a break to be a failure. I ave seen shattered/broken CF and it just does not break that way. Is it at all possible that the owner of the car had the tub sliced and added a fabricated cross section to extend it by a few inches to accomodate his size?
No, it is not possible because we determined over a year ago that the car was never modified. In fact that question has been answered several times in this thread.
I've never seen this thread before and the pics of the broken chassis don't work anymore. Does anyone still have them?
Here's the one I saw on another board that made me look for this thread at fchat. Image Unavailable, Please Login
