I personally like the LEDs on Indy cars that tell the audience the position of the car on the track, some functions that are going on with the car, and how long pit stops are taking.

Also I like Push to Pass. It adds a level of strategy and it helps create more passing opportunities.

Would the FIA ever adopt an idea from another series? I doubt it.

Front wing simplicity(Indy) as in not so many cascade/elements in the front wing...I think some cars have over 30 cascade/elements....and thats just one side.

From track side it's very easy to follow as there are plenty of TV's. Many people just have live timing up on their phone as well.

Push to pass...F1 has that with DRS already. PTP is just another way to artificially create racing. China showed us that non-DRS (or PTP for that matter) are much more exciting.

The best thing about the Indy Car broadcast yesterday were Paul Tracy's comments.

Push to pass is different than drs. You push when you want and for how long you want but the total time is limited. Drs is is everyone at a certain time and every time. Ptp is whenever the drivers feel they need it.

If you want more passing, ptp is the way to go.

There is a version of this in F1 already. Indeed you could hear Red Bull telling Verstappen in China that he could use the overtake button. Personally, I want cars to be able to pass but not artificially so I don't want the driver behind pushing a button. More does not equal better. I agree with Bas above. The moves by Vettel and Verstappen in China were worth any amount of DRS or push button overtakes. That's what I want to see more of.

Good point. Pre coffee morning mumbling from me I blame it on :D.

But, I don't want more passing...possibility for cars to follow closer is what I really want, so we have real, natural overtaking...DRS wasn't really effective at Shanghai (but it did allow cars to get a bit closer). The real overtakes at turn 6 where fantastic. Reducing front wing size and it's ridiculous elements, and fixing a way to get rid of the ''wake'' from the front tires. Get some lost downforce back by having partial tunnels in the floor.
