Hi guys, I just saw this Ferrari during a practice session at the circuit of Zolder, Belgium. Any more info about it? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4220.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4226.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4227.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4229.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4230.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4231.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4251.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/zwoemba/IMG_4267.jpg

Ferrari's first attempt at a mid engined sports racer - a very rare car (can't have been more than 4 or 5 chassis made - some were designated as 246SP and 268SP, depending on engine size)
I was wondering if the attached photo is the same body type. The photo belongs to the Scuderia Bear collection of images. cheers ken Image Unavailable, Please Login
No relation to the Dino production cars other than they were both made by Ferrari. They made 6 of these cars total. They were numbered based on the engine size and type.#0798 had a 2.6 8 motor so it was called 268SP.They also had a 2.4 6 motor (designed by Jano) installed in several cars. They called them 246SP's.The 196SP was the "small six" of the 3.Chassis #0802,#0798 and #0790 all had square noses after they were modified by the private owners after the factory dumped the cars at the end of 1962-63. These ars are all based on the F1 1961-1962 Ferrari's.They have the same suspension(beefed up) and motors.Carlo designed the chassis. It wore out rear tires at a fast pace due to poor rear camber control. Chassis numbers:#0790,#0796,#0778,#0802,#0804,#0806 Tom Tanner/Scale Designs
OH MY GOD! It could've been a replica, but I saw this Ferrari model driving around my town (Montecito, CA) on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera on me, but being that there are many big collectors here, it could've been real....
