I recently tore of the front right corner of the front spoiler on my 86 Testarossa. Eurospares showed that they had a good used original in stock at a decent price, so I ordered it. The pics are what arrived today. The immediate difference I noticed is that it is symmetrical, with air ducts on both sides. My car on has the decor on the left side. And every photo I’ve need able to find of early TR’s also shown the asymmetrical spoiler with a single air duct. So what did I receive here? Is it aftermarket? Or perhaps for an entirely different model?

It was listed by Eurospares as a “Genuine Ferrari part.” Are you saying it isn’t?

It isn't for a Testarossa. That much is for sure. If it was a new, unused Ferrari fiberglass part it would have come with orange gelcoat, not black paint.
Based on what I can see I think its an aftermarket part for something.

It was not on their website as a “Eurospares approved part.” They have those, are showing one in stock at a price of £1,268.96. They also a new or remanufactured genuine Ferrari part for £1,442.37. The one I ordered was identified as “Genuine Ferrari part - used.” It is listed as part number 61477000 - FRONT LOWER SPOYLER with the parts diagrams for a 1987 Testarossa.

So is it genuine Ferrari or aftermarket? What model is it for, because it clearly is not for a 1985-87 Testarossa.

By the way, the price was 975, which is why I ordered it instead of an aftermarket or new Ferrari part. But it’s clearly the wrong part. I’m just trying to figure out what model it is for.

Genuine would have one duct for the A/C. Looks repainted. Maybe it's "genuine" because they pulled it off a TR?

In my experience, particularly with used parts, it's good to ask for pics of the actual item.
They're generally good at providing them.
