Just for fun, Rolls or Bentley which brand do you think would be best in the adjacent garage bay?

Reason I pose the question is because I think a Ferrari Spider and a big two door ultra luxury British convertible is the ultimate dream pair when it comes to leisure cars.

Well, I have a Testarossa and a Rolls Royce Silver Dawn.

I find that I like contrast in my cars - the raw old-style Ferrari experience contrasts well with the ultra-refined Rolls Royce experience.

Just pick which one you want for the day you want it.

Exactly, I think a good contrast is a good pair, that way you can experience two totally different ends of the automobile spectrum. IMO, there is a difference in being a performance enthusiast and an automobile enthusiast, I myself am a auto enthusiast, I like the F40 and the Corniche or the 911 Turbo and the Mercedes S-class, but cars like BMWs where they try to turn big luxury sedans into the "ultimate driving machine," not so much.

To be honest, after a Ferrari, most other cars leave me cold. There are a few exceptions, of course, but for everyday cruising, it could just as well be a Toyota Camry as a Merc or Rolls or whatever. Do not care at all. I kind of like the VW Phaeton - sleek but understated like the A8, with a VW badge for the snobs. Also like the Nissan 4 door pickups, don't know what they are called. Practical and stupid looking. :)

Bentley, though, if it was a toss-up between Rolls and Bentley. Prefer the performance and the slightly less ostentatious image. I can understand the choice of Rolls for the reasons stated above. When you are a car guy, you like everything, even if it's not something you would want for yourself.

    E-type...heaven.

I have a 550 with an E Type on one side and a 1933 20/25 R/R touring car on the other. All have their applications.
