    If F1 splits, will FOTA be able to race on the newer F1 tracts?
    Will China and the other newer places be supportive of Bernie in his fight with Ferrari?
    Will the U. S. of A. & Canada be again able to have races?
    Will F1 sue FOTA in each country where there is a race?
    Will France tell Bernie to pound sand since there is no race in France?

    Will I care?

    If i read it correctly, Bernie will go with FOTA, and since he has all the comercial rights to F1, all normal tracks remain (providing they can pay him, but thats another story).

    1) Yes, wherever there is no FOM contrack, I mean contract ;}
    2) I did not know Bernie is fighting Ferrari, but FOM does have agreements with all of these newer circuits, but
    I have never read one of those contracts, and I doubt if anyone else here has read one, so we really don't have any idea what will happen.
    3) Sure, why not!
    4) No, yes. The FIA will just take legal action only against the teams with FIA contracts unless they think that all the FOTA
    teams have done damage to the concept of F1. FOM will take legal action against anyone that tries to subvert any of its contracts.
    5) I think the only circuit that is currently FIA approved for F1 is Paul Ricard, and you will never guess who owns an interest in that circuit!

    I remember when Rod Dennis was doing GPMA - the opinion was that exclusivity clase in contracts between Bernie and tracks is not enforceable due to Antitrust rules.

    Look at Microsoft and Intel - they got in to trouble with law for doing the same thing Bernie is trying to do

    With 100% certainty the chinese will go with ferrari and the money. They don't honor no stinking contracts. They say come sue me heck you can even win but you ain't going to get a dollar from me and I'm not showing up for court either.

    Why would they want to? One of the problems in recent F1 is that Bernie is taking races to places that can throw money at him to buy a race, but where there are very few interested spectators. I don't actually see FOTA ever wanting to go to Turkey, Bahrain, China, Malaysia, where there are no F1 fans and the local people don't care about or attend the race.

    Fortunately, in pandering to his wallet Bernie has left behind fabulous, popular, well-attended historic F1 tracks like Montreal, Indy, Silverstone, Imola, Hockenheim, Magny-Cours, Adelaide, Fuji - and if FOTA retains an ounce of brains they will under-price the race fees and allow cheap seats, and be able to televise races with the stands full of well entertained, happy spectators. In one swoop FOTA can have more classic F1 races than Bernie would be offering!

    Other interesting note - it's been reported that Monaco doesn't actually have a contract with Bernie, and they are the ONLY race that doesn't pay Bernie for the privilege of hosting an F1 race. Because of it's status, Bernie doesn't charge them for the race. However, Prince Albert was quoted as saying he can't envision a Monaco GP without Ferrari. Maybe Monaco will be happy enough to see the back of Max Mosley, and will grant their race to FOTA and tell Bernie and Max to get lost with their glorified F3 series?
