you’re the third 308 I know that did this, here’s the other two I found did the same thing. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I had my detail guy go over to my shop and detail the 328 , inside and out, Im embarrassed to say how long its been since I last drove it . With all the bikes, my new car, and Karting, the 328 has not been in the forefront of my mind. With all the idiotic drivers in So Cal, Ive almost been kind of apprehensive about taking it out. Thank you ,
I only drive my 328 in the 'off' hours due to the same apprehension. Drivers around here are absolute idiots.
Its a rotten shame I tell you, I dont know if you ride motorcycles, but you can imagine all of the danger your faced with while on two wheels, its almost becoming like Russian roulette , lol . I get to have some " off hours " around where I live, but not much, unless I go way out into the low populated areas of San Diego, Riverside , San Berdu counties . Thank you ,
Many friends who owned motorcycles did a 'tour of duty' in a hospital. I'd love to have one but because of other drivers I'll never have one.
Too hot for outdoor work, so me and the pooch stayed inside and gave the 328 a full detail. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Finished the carb refresh today after weeks of waiting for parts and plating. Replaced the fuel filter "while I was at it" (what a chore that was!). Pumped the pedal 4 times and it fired right up. Now to get the linkage and mixture dialed in before a planned outing on Saturday. Also finished the install of the euro bumpers from Superformance last week, which take WAY more cutting/glassing/finishing than they should, but still am happy with the result. Now I need to do something about the front grill... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damn - this is sweet looking. Love the Euro bumpers, Campagnolo wheels etc. Did you make the exhaust surround? It looks great.
No, the exhaust surround came with the car, and in another thread I was told it was a standard fitment to early U.S. cars. Looks very homemade to me, but I've seen several photos on this site and elsewhere of very similar shrouds on various U.S. cars. Maybe an aftermarket/dealer item?
This is what happens when you start in one area…the engine and bigger idle jets…you find a hose that needs replacing…and then another…then the engine ground cable that needs a scrubbing…then one wheel well and another…you look forward at the two fronts…well, I might as do those…again…
I just realized something, the BB512 has the same exhaust surround material. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I heard the BB512 is a raw sports car. Loud but not obnoxious. Fast. Ferocious but elegant. Pure Ferrari that proves it’s more than just an exotic brand.
It should be blank. A PO installed a radar detector and that is the sensor— very irritating. Need to figure out getting rid of it short of replacing console. Some suggested putting innocuous thingie to cover hole; am open to suggestions!
The good: (1) Wheel well scrubbing is complete. (2) I ran her with the new idle jets (0.50 to 0.55) and idle mixture adjustments. Results were better though not optimal, yet. The bad and the ugly: I found a new fuel leak near the 1-2 carb….it might be time for a professional. Fires scare me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Changed my idle jets to 65 and opened the mixture screws to 3.75 turns. Runs great for me. I also have the same advance curve for front and rear distributors. Modified the rear distributor to fire the forward bank also.
