Nice lift, I've been looking at lifts myself.
I'd love to hear more about your setup.
how tall is your ceiling and did you self-install?

that story has its own thread on another forum because the blue car is really wide. I took a ton of measurements and tried to get testimonials. Happy to post all of that info on your lift thread of choice. But it’s an advantage 9000-HD with a “wing kit”. Also got the hydraulic bridge jack while I was at it since every Ferrari maintenance procedure starts with removing the rear tire and wheel well cover.

    reasons I picked it
    * I prefer the solid post design over C channel
    * it needed to be wide (80 inch wide blue car) but also “short” because my garage is max 204” deep
    * my ceiling is 10’6 and the garage door is 9’10” so I wanted it taller than the backyard buddy would go
    * the wildfire wide was an extra foot wider and didn’t want to give up the garage space.
    * I liked that the bridge jack and accessories are on rollers rather than sliding
    * wanted 110v operation without air like the bendpak requires.

after a week I’m very happy. It’s a rock solid lift.

    Like I said, there’s a lot to it. I suggest a thread.

What's a "hydraulic bridge jack"? Can you post a picture? I'm certain I need one to raise the rr wheel for many of the services on my 308.

I ditched the rear muffler diaper and made a custom one that covers the exhaust hangers. When I get a new exhaust, this probably won't fit but for now it looks a little better. I tucked in the rear bumper too. Euro bumpers going on this Spring along with a transition to a correct grille and flash to pass lights.

Installed the fan upgrade kit from ebay seller "valtermotousa". Pretty easy but would have been nice for them to include a few rubber strips (which go between the original fan mount and the new fan adapter).

That looks to be a more modern AC condenser. Do you know the physical size? 12x20?

It's the condenser from the Classic Auto Air kit. Installation of the condenser was a total pain in the ass because the brackets they include dont fit - I had to make custom brackets (as others have before). Regardless, this is what is printed on the condenser: HRX 2005 UL. Google doesn't come up with much, I'll try to measure if helpful.

I didn't weigh the old and new fans / adapters but if there is any weight savings I suspect it would be pretty small

Height must be 12" as it's right about the same size as the radiator core. Length must be around 18"? I'm asking as I'm rolling my own on an AC upgrade on my car.

Awesome, thanks. I sent an email several days ago To ClassicAutoAir inquiring about buying just some components from their kits, but they haven't bothered to answer yet.

    Well done, nice job.

Did you consider painting it black?

I bought the same kit, but haven't installed it yet - what was the thickness of the strips you used?

Thank you. Yes I did, and I considered painting parts of it black but keep the back red to simulate a full rear valance. I might play around with it. It’s only paint! I’m going to go full Euro exhaust this summer, so this one won’t be needed and I’ll probably make a different style to fit the new set up.

I’m mocking up a Euro front end conversion as we speak. Finishing that up tomorrow but will then have to disassemble and do the paintwork on the bumper and get the grille chromed. Pics to follow.

Do yourself a favor and search on here for ac installation. Someone did a very extensive writeup on everything you would need.

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/diy-ferrari-308-ac-system-everything-you-wanted-to-know.344660/

Classic Auto Air is overpriced and their CS sucks. I'm surprised they didn't get back to you... the sales department is the only one that seems to return phone calls. Tech support is non-existent.

I suspect I paid around 1000 extra dollars for their "kit" which is not really a kit aside from one metal plate that goes into the evaporator to accommodate the more powerful blower fan... you could fab that up with a piece of sheet metal easily.

I installed the same fans. I also had to install a new radiator and every other thing associated with the cooling system so I can't comment on what a "normal" system would have been like.

But I can say after all of it was installed, I had to sit in 100 degree Texas weather for about an hour and the car never got anywhere near overheating.

Did you go with an aftermarket alloy radiator? What about the water pump; new/reconditioned factory unit or uprated aftermarket unit?

Aftermarket radiator from Superformance. New water pump was done when the engine work was done. All new hoses, new expansion tank, and new sensors.

I turned my attention to the front end and mocked up some Euro conversion parts with a bumper, flash to pass lights, and grille. The grille is a fabricated piece I made since I don’t want to drop the coin just yet on a correct repo grille. I’ll pick that up later towards summer, but for now, this works. Upgrading the fuse panel next. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I finally got around to swapping the dim and frankly dangerous halogen headlights for LEDs. Massive improvements in beam projection and pattern.

Nice. I switch to Hella Euro lenses many years ago and ran dedicated relay switches power

Do you have a source for the LEDs?
