1. Adjusted the clutch mechanism (it was 15mm out) and clutch pedal; 2. Checked my gear oil level (to make sure of no shift shaft leaks)...all good; 3. Removed my steering rack.
40 and sunny today. Took it out for a nice 5 mile warm up. Came back and it spit out antifreeze from the overflow. I didn't tighten the cap enough when I check the coolant a month ago. Took back out for another spin and all is good. I'm ready for some spring weather in the NE.
Still salt on the road here for another month, so batteries changed in fobs and reattaching front numberplate was the limit of my jobs today Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
I have neglected the 308 due to the alternator belt squealage. Plus, I have been whoring around in the Lamborghini and Maserati in the last 6 months. So I changed the belt (45 minutes max, taking my time), then took her for a spin in the 70 degree weather. What an amazing car, I will never sell this little beauty. I forgot how much I love this car. Geno Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Put another 100 miles of back road driving on it. I bought the car sight unseen and am genuinely surprised at how well it drives & rides, much better than I expected !
You guys are killing me with all your posts of actually driving your car! We still have snow on the ground and lots of salt on the roads.
Rebuilt starter motor & alternator, cam belts & tensioners ,seals ,oil & air oil fuel filters, drive belts & bearings in the water pump idler pulley and a new pulley not today but I finish it today
Meanwhile, this side of the pond, the abnormal weather still prevails, but in reverse: Yesterday, sunday March 9th, the official thermometers recorded 21,6° Celsius in Paris (which is 71° f) with bright sunshine, beating the last record for a march 9th, which dated back from 1880... Rgds
Actually, David, if the weathermen (and women) are to be believed, we now have the temperatures of the first weeks of May...and it is supposed to stay like this for at least a week. Time for hitting the roads at the wheel of a convertible... Rgds
True indeed in hot & sunny countries, but not here...at least, not yet! If next winter turns out to be hotter still than this one, we may still reach Florida temperatures in the near future. For the time being, when we see someone driving with the top down in winter in Northern France, the saying goes that he/she must be british... Rgds
That last bit is true the world over. I hate to think of how hot it will be here if you reach Florida temps.
and the Great Lakes are still 92.2% frozen. Go figure. We had a great weekend here in AZ and it looks like it will be an excellent week weather wise.
A break in Nebraska weather yielded a 68 degree day yesterday. Backed out the QV and took it for a 25 mile spin with a neighbor. He lamented the fact his Porsche is still in storage.
Yup, forty feels pretty good today. Not British but of British and Scottish decent and I will drive with the top off at forty. Still waiting for a real 60F day.
I'm Scottish, and will drive the wife's Z4 with the roof down as long as it's dry, any time of the year. You just need better clothes! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
