AC belt. Did you ever get a Platinum? I still appreciate you letting me hang around while your car was judged at Concorso. I'll be out to SJC soon. Want to catch up with Hoffman.
I did this last round! For sure we need to take the Hoff out for a drive. You can borrow one of my other cars. I’ll check out the AC belt. Good tip. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Im getting ready for spring. Next week Ill do emission test, she runs very rich now , and we will be ready for driving season! Regards Julio
After having my interior put back together, I note the remote locking is not working properly - the latches go up/down several times then reset to up. Issue in the door(s), post refit?
Put in a replacement antenna for my Hirschmann yesterday - the mast was bent & I couldn't remember what type of replacment mast I used last time Sadly, none of the local auto stores carry any supply let alone a selection of replacement masts that I can look at. Ordering off Amazon or such is a crap shoot. went to WWoC Cars & Coffee and came home to find a box with the two new pneumatic holders waiting for me. took me about 30min to get the old ones out & the new ones in. I noticed she's almost at 99K miles on the odo. After her long winter hibernation, she started out a little shaky, but ran fine after the 30 min drive to WWoC
Took the 308 to FCA Central Coast Chapter of Southwest Region: Paso Robles Estrella Warbirds and Car Museum
Replaced the steering wheel on my ‘76. It had an ‘80s black-spoked Prototipo that just didn’t look right. This wheel, while not a Momo, is a very nice leather clad fairly period correct aluminum four spoke. The copper-gold thread matches my hide pretty darned well. I bought it years before I had the car after seeing a similar wheel on F-Chatter Hans’ super nice 308 GT4. I love the look of the 4 spoke! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I passed the annual emissions test. All good, I didnt have to touch anything Note: values in screen are not the final ones Best Regards Julio Image Unavailable, Please Login
After working the whole winter long on rebuilding my A/C, which wasn't working since 12 years, I had it finally filled this afternoon at a friend's workshop. All common checks all said 'o.k.' and it's now working again. I just have to sanitize the system, since it stinks Any hints for cleaning and disinfecting? While I’m in there also; Rebuilt gear shifter and silent bloc New window motors w/cables Rebuilt throttle assembly New throttle cable
Bruno, hot air through the heater did also stink Robert, that's what I thought. Workshop recommends one of these systems; a spray can you put in the footwell area. Close the windows. Let the engine, A/C and heater run at full power. Open the spray can, leave the car and close the doors. After 15 mins. when the spray can is empty, air the car and system thoroughly. And it should smell like perfume after that Best from Germany Martin
So I cannot save the money for the spray can and steal my wife's $100.00 Chanel bottle instead? Best from Germany Martin
Ah, that sucks, Martin! I took the 328 GTB out Monday very early (just at sunrise) to cruise along the border and it was really cold outside, some heating was welcome. I came rather close from a very nice deer that day, by the way; he jumped in front of my #81085 across the road (which makes the border) from France to Germany...illegal immigration! Rgds
Without kidding. Those spray can systems I described of course contain a strong disinfectant. This is the reason, why the instructions say, you have to leave the car and thoroughly air the system and interior after the procedure. Best Regards Martin
