    Understood, but, unlike most F models, the Boxers have no separate oil cooling system so the water cooling system is the only cooling system for both oil and water.

    It’s a good reminder that most cars of the era, including ours, state in the manual to check the oil level every approx 500miles (for the TR) or about every tank of gas (what I do) for all my cars.

    Every tank of gas is probably a little too much, but every 500-600 miles sounds about right, especially if you drive the car more harder.
