As the title says..
By the sensible people of the world: Eccleston just stated in an interview that "Hitler got things done [despite being led to do bad things by others]." Amid other things, he referred to Hitler as a "strong leader" as he does with Mosley. The s***storm is about to hit the fan for this guy. Given that this is just before the German Grand Prix, in Mercedes & BMW's home-race, I think he's just signed his own warrant in F1. Between this and Mosley's Nazi sex dungeon incident, it's seriously f***ing disgusting. Think about it -- How much of this Nazi/sexist/racist stuff have we heard from the leaders of F1? A LOT.
He'd probably only be made to leave by military coup . I don't think other than Moseley anyone could fire him, correct?
I believe that is correct, and likely to never happen. The only person who could fire Bernie for the Hitler comments is the guy who likes Nazi hookers? seriously, you couldn't write this stuff.
Drama queens everywhere you go. Nothing better to say? Drag out that big bad "Nazi" word. That'll get em fired up. Why don't we just label all wrong things done during WWII in this country the "Dems".
He can't GET fired, since he owns FOM. And if he were made to leave, he'd take FOM with him and could make the sport to rot. But that won't happen either, since he most likely will sell it by then LOL.
If Bernie were gone no matter the cause - We would be better off? Maybe F1 team owners could get the opportunity to run the show more than they do...and possibly make it better or worse! The sport will go on without him and someone else would face our wrath here!
First off Bernie does not own FOM, he is the CEO but he does not own it. Let's make that clear. Second he could get fired by his bosses CVC Capital Partners, who own the majority stake in FOM. After all they have employed Bernie to be CEO and could theoretically dispose of him when they want. CVC would obviously loose the most amount of money if a break-away series started, no brainer. I'm a bit surprised they have not stepped in with all the chaos happening.
I think only the BOD of CVC may have that option, maybe, but doubtful. No one can fire Bernie, except...... if the F1 teams started their own series.
FOM: 70% CVC, 20% JP Morgan, 10% Ecclestone Family Trusts. They key is, despite stock ownership, who has the controlling votes. Controlling votes do not always relate to ownership percentage. Bernie is CEO and President of FOM.
