too bad they cant actually sell the car on its actual recording of its true sounds.. lol imagine if ferrari did that...

 

There were some Dodge Caliber commercials out that how that little 4 cylinder sounding like a HEMI. I was told Dodge had to pull the commercial because some many people complained about it. Expecting to go test drive this car and hear a great motor. Ended up sounding like a popcorn machine..

 

This was true, but dodge now has the commercials with a disclaimer on the bottom of the screen now. Some one had sued them for false advertising.

They would need a longer spot. It takes the full 30 seconds just for the window to go up.

I know Ferrari has no need to advertise. Maybe it could even backfire. But every time I see a MB commercial, I wonder what kind of cool commercial Ferrari could do.

Imagine showing race car accidents with drivers walking away without the use of air bags. Imagine showing black and white clips of victories, while rolling over the screen the names of drivers, thier pictures, race results, statistics. Maybe start it with that clip of Alain Decadenet pulling away in that 166MM Barchetta, and end it with the FXX coming to a rapid stop from blistering high speed and Michael stepping out, and telling us all to please drive safely on public roads. Cool engine sounds would cinch it.

"At Ferrari, we dont build cars that drive themselves, we build cars that are meant to be driven". They could play it right after a Lexus self parking commercial.
