Here are the numbers I have obtained - do not take these numbers as gospel since there are many mixed figures, but these seem to be close to accurate as I can find..Not sure about breakdown of years--still working on that..These also do not include the last 100 or so special F series -

    GTB 6 speed - 3829
    GTS 6 speed - 2048
    Spider 6 speed - 2664
    GTB F1 - 1042
    GTS F1 - 529
    Spider F1 - 1053

Overall F1 cars are more rare, but remember these cars didn't debut until 97 in the Euro version, 98 for US - so of course there were less produced.

Watching pricing trends over the last 6 months, I would disagree. I have watched the F1 cars generally fetch more money than a similiar 6 speed car..Not much but there is a little premium people will pay for the F1 cars..That's based on similiar years, colors, mileage cars..

Sounds like you are watching the market more than me the past half year or so, so you are probably correct.... I have not been following the 355 market as closely the past 3-4 months...

The only reason I have been watching it so close was becasue I was in the market for a 355 which I purchased in October and got a GREAT deal on!!!!

I'm w/ you on everything, but the GTB 6 speed were a higher run do to "demand."
Just because a car is more rare in terms of total number of units doesn't imply greater demand, like a "green" Ferrari, hence no return on that rarity.

In my mind, I think the F1 gets a small premium (maybe $5k). Same for the '98 and '99 years with less chance of valve guide issues (not to start that debate in this thread!). Personally I love the bodywork flow of the hard top, not even considering a Spider.
