Interested also, the average asking price across the net is around 189 -205 for that year and mileage . Not sure how that color interior would effect the price. Its hard to differentiate the difference between asking prices and the final actual sale price?

I know Marshalls very well................there prices are high but their cars are immaculate with low miles. They may budge 5k or so on an exotic.

An interesting color combination. Anything other than Rossa Corsa or Tan is worth a little less. If I were buying a car to resale in 6 or 7 months I would not pick a unique color combination. Personally, I think it is ok but I would not buy it.

I know one thing. My girlfriend and I were at Marshall Goldman 2 wks ago looking @ the pearl yellow gallardo. She couldn't get over that 430, and she could generally care less about cars!! In fact, she said that car was smoking hot!! She even took a couple of pics!! Congrats if you get it, it was a sharp car.

oops, just saw the red interior on ebay. The one she liked had a black interior with yellow stitching. Offer less!!!! I think the one she saw was like 228K

I think the red interior and red dash is not for everybody. But, if you like it, go for it. That's all that matters.

It's a classic color combo for those who like red interiors, like me. We are few and far between, but we are out there. Can't speak to price though.

Love the color. Will stand out in a sea of red/tan.

I don't understand the logic that if a Ferrari is any color but red, it will be worth less than the red car. Even if only slightly less, I just don't get it. For example, if you want an Azzurro Argentina F430 F1 you have a choice of one: mine. Excluding something totally off-the-wall, why would the F430 seller of one-of-one (or one-of-few) accept less than one of hundreds or thousands? That seems backwards.

Because you have to wait for that one person who wants the color. Just about everyone wants red so it would sell faster than an off color.

I think this is oversimplifying things. With a mainstream model, like a 360 or 430, red probably is preferred. A lot of first time owners feel safer with red and many multi-Fcar owners have all red, but a lot of second-time or more owners also get tired of Rossa Corsa. In the case of the Challenge Stradale (or F50, Enzo, etc), some non-red cars (e.g. black) seemed to go for a premium over red; perhaps because a CS owner was more likely to be past their first Fcar. It really depends on the model and the color mix population for that model.

I think you need to define what you mean by "huge hit". Given typical 1-year price declines, I would expect a $15-20K decline based on light miles driven and car specifics, retail-retail market value basis. This decline could be aggravated by interest in the 458, slower than anticipated recovery in the recession, and differential between retail-wholesale basis vs retail-private basis (sell the car to a dealer or sell the car on a private party basis). The worst combination could result in a substantial differential. Flipping in and out of modern Fcars isn't going to be easy on the wallet for the foreseeable future.

I like Black/red color comb. I think the price might be a little high. It should be somewhere in the $185k.

The fact (according to Ferrari) is that red tan is the most popular color and probably the easiest to sell. My first Ferrari was Grigio Alloy. Several rosso corsa cars sold ahead of it when I traded it for my F430. A Ferrari is the only car I would have in red. My Sl65 is black my 997 Turbo is black for that matter my Escalade is black. I like a black Ferrari but the fact remains that a red one sells more easily. So if you want one to have for a few months and flip get a red one. It will still cost you 15 to 20 grand. I personally bought what I wanted which was rossa corsa over tan. I am on the list for a 458 and it will be rossa Corsa too. Yeah it doesn't stick it out in sea of Ferrari's but it looks great in my garage. Besides do you ever find yourself in a sea of Ferrari's.?

Agree- it is just simple economics. I love unusual colors, red interiors etc.. but when I find a car like that, I am going to offer far less than what I would offer for a popular combination. That is because I am eventually going to have to sell it- it's a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts. Clinging to a thought that you are going to get lucky and find the right person who is naive enough to not factor his own resale risk is not realistic.

Agreed. I ordered my rosso corsa/tan F430 with black carpet, black inserts in the daytonas and black stitching. It looks great.
