I have 9000 km on my 14 months Maser. Is that consider high? This is my daily car but I am always so very weary about clocking up high mileage but there again shouldn't I be enjoying the damn car to the fullest. My friends all say that I worry to much. Really, what would be a decent average for a car like mine and would it affect re-sale value? I think I am more concern about not "aging" the car rather than how much I can get.....later. In my previous car (Bimmer), I chalk up on the average of about 12,000 a year. I love driving this baby and if I could I will drive all day every day. Imagine when one day if I EVER get to upgrade to a Ferarri........... Sigh.........

    I think you don't drive enough :)

I would drive my cars as much as possible. I clocked about 20,000 miles on the F355 in about a year of ownership in the US. And I still think that wasn't enough.

Nowadays, I don't have much chance to enjoy the cars. I have been putting around 3000 KM on each of them only...I must say that I am not happy about that.

Cars are meant to be driven...and for sport car, driven hard. So, if you enjoy your car then go on. Don't let the milage stop you from doing what you love.

Pong, so true. I really enjoy driving, especially after a hard day or a long week, makes you feel that your hard work at least results in something as pleasurable. My dream is to finally get my hands on a Ferarri. That IS the Pinnacle. SFChallenge is lucky, getting to fullfill his wish at the same age I set myself. Ten years late and I am at best half way there. My Maser is great , fantastic for now....knowing that I have this burning passion to one day own a 355 or 360. One day.......well we all need to aspire to something, however family commitments and obligation does "de-Rail" you now and then. Thanks for the advice. Lung.....what did you say you are driving? Grandis?

Hey hey, Magicman. You've got children by now? Well, I have a friend who set a dream for himself on a Porsche 911 before 30. He's past 40 now, owns a Odyssey & Mini Cooper but still eyeing his dream with sighhh. I told him that his son is his "Porsche"!

We all got commitments & I'm glad mine didn't set me back, albeit struggling. Really, financial planners will say I'm a goner. Had an argument with my wife over it when purchasing & last night, she's still asking me to sell it once we have our first baby....urghh.

Hey, your Maserati can easily get you one F car & if you want a family version. Get the Mondial or 456? Urrp, just my thoughts but old models like mine is a "steal". I think COE paid 355 can be "affordable" as well.

Well, I've only clocked 15000km on my daily 20months car. So many mobile stealth cameras on the road/bridges to be really enjoying driving here.

Dear SF, yup agree with you. I was just at the track day and that really got me thinking about getting a more " affordable" 355. I love that shape.....the wedge front.......... but the 360 is such a charmer. Wonder how much did Lung pay for his 355? Are you driving a 355?

Nope, I've got a 348TB. Still tweeking it & just ordered some parts for it. But, I'm really tempted to change for a 355 Spider which I've just been offered. If only I waited for 3months. 360 is too much for me to afford here. I've seen several 308s lately & wondered if they were ever tracked recently.

Hey, it's really getting very frustrated to drive in town. I see so many white volvos parked on highways waiting...then there's those cameras hiding behind bushes & on bridges! My car hardly goes past 4.5krpm...

Really? I'll be going KL pretty often 2. In fact, I'm going later. But I don't touch golf. The spider was S$280K with 2.5yrs 2 go, I think. Can renew COE but the seller advised 2 export it due to high paper value. S$300K for a spider for 10 years not 2 bad right? Body still worth some money afterwards. But it's either you renew COE now & get a good loan or you'll have 2 cough out almost $150K now cos few banks will loan you & the monthly will be almost $10K!!? Let me know if you're interested.

Well , I am looking for one but I guess I have not gotten down to the numbers and such. I would like to explore further. When are u up in KL. I am long staying at Mutiara along Sultan Ismail. I will not be driving up next week but maybe week after as I have colleagues going up with me next week and I don;t relish 4 people in my car and packing it with tonnes of luggage. You want to meet up one of these days?
