What is held by rubber strap in 328 trunk

    In my 328 it has a rubber strap at the back of the trunk. Does the jack go under the strap or does the jack go up withthe spare. If the tool roll goes under the strap I think the tool roll is not big enough to be held by the strap It looks like it would just slip out to the side.

    I think the original intent was for the jack bag.

    I use it for a Fire extinguisher!

    Tool kit goes in front with the tire per my owner's manual pics.....

    I put the jack under the strap in my 328. Don't recall where the tool roll goes, but I know it's in the back also.

    I think the strap is for the jack kit. But I have yet to figure out how the heck to securely "buckle" it in!

    The strap does indeed hold the jack kit. However, the strap was discontinued in about 1987 so not all 328s have this. Mine (75063) does not.
