Lucky to see one in the wild, they only made about 60 of them. I was offered the very last new one in the factory; but turned it down as I had just bought and restored a 955 Corsa. Not one of my smarter decisions unfortunately.
well i have great memories of being on the track with the supermono surprised at just how strong it was! it was the open test day on a thursday before races began on friday. i also remember being passed by andy stroud on the britten that day...feb. 1997! seems like yesterday!! pcb
That would have been quite an experience! I didn't buy the Supermono because I felt that I was too tall to ride it, it was $60k and I had just blown $70k on the 955 Corsa. Oh well

Very hot! A friend's dad back in the '70's had a garage full of them aswell as BSA's, I love the old school bikes.
There are sooo many beautiful bikes - both old & new. But for me it was love at 1st sight. So I bought it... Image Unavailable, Please Login
This one is a 2002. It is a limited edition of 170. I like the old school look with the modern technology.
Andrew Stroud on the Britten.....This was at Daytona? Frame No 10? Just curious. Was Jeff Nash riding the Supermono?
yes stroud was riding the britten at daytona test day on thursday in prep for the formula race. i have no idea of what frame number it was. i was racing in heavyweight superbike but we shared the track on the test day as we were both in "odd number" sessions. i was number 227 and he was number 9. pcb

i want to point out that many of the prints on your wall were done by my great old friend lee bivens. I think you must therefore have great taste! lee was the guy responsible for getting me into racing. pcb
Well I raced this one and 3 others just liked it for a number of years. But it is in motorcycle heaven. If you look carefully, this pic is on my wall in my garage. All the photos are of the bikes I raced and killed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In my opinion the best looking modern sports bike. Other modern contenders: Ducati 750 F1 (I am lucky enough to own one) Ducati 1098 Tricolore MV Agusta F4 750 Serio Oro 1985 Suzuki RG 500 Bimota VDue (although they couldn't make it work) Older bikes: 1973 Ducati 750 Sport Vincent Black Lightning BSA Gold Star Just my five cents.....
