What is the best sounding road going ferrari ever made?

In my personal experience (from memory), I find it difficult to split the F355CH and the F50. Perhaps the F355CH by the barest of margins, but they both sound beyond glorious.

 

i have heard 250 GTO there three years ago in Ferrari Festival in Magny court
it looks amasing the guy could put the first gear, he tried with two hands!!
it was a great moment, so i heard too a F40 in Levallois really incredible sound. now if i must to take an opinion , it will be F40 may be the echo inside the garage give me shiver.

anyway i like all sounds before 92, the restrictions and rules against noise probably.

Yeah, 355C I think, but F50 is very close too...

and a 400 Carb Auto with mild steel ansa exhaust system on full power sounds so much like chewbacca from Star wars that it makes me laugh....

250 SWB is awesome and a little old 246 Dino is sooooooo sweet.

Ive never heard any other ferrari,except for mine. It seems the 355CH sounds fantastic according to the 1st hand experiences'. PP must be grinning from ear to ear

 

But a 348 with Challenge exhaust or tubi is in the top 10, maybe 5........

I haven't really paid a lot of attention to the sound of a 355ch, but everyone tells me it sounds great.

Best car I've heard, and it really got my attention in a hurry, was an F50 with a full tubi kit fitted. Headers and mufflers, I think it had.

Maybe I'll be hearing another one soon?

 

If we're only counting cars we have actually heard in person (i.e. not on video) then its between the CS, F50 and 360C for me.

 

My memory tells me that from the drivers seat a 308GTB under full throttle used to sound glorious. (in a 246 Dino, the noise is better from the passengers seat )

 

I've been a passenger in a 308 and 246 (haven't driven either) and to me they can't match the sound of the three I mentioned. Still nice though....

That OK, i haven't driven a F50, CS or a 360C, but did see 7500rpm in every gear from a standing start to 150 mph in my GTB and it did sound great.....wish I'd timed it ( but not with a video camera )

I vote 355Ch with the 1997 exhaust, there really is nothing like it in the modern Ferraris. Maybe the F50 with full Tubi system will top it, we will have to see.

Old Ferraris? All the 12's sound fabulous, it's just varying degrees of fabulous.

Worst sounding Ferrari is unfortunately the 550/575.
