I have a nice young lady in my garage that needs a good coolant burp. I just replaced a few hoses and the coolant was nearly drained. I tried dinner, dancing and a movie- but that didn't work. Anyone have a particular method for success?

    Thanks,
    Bill

The best way is to connect a cooling system pressure tester to the expansion tank with the tank full. Pressurize the system to 10-15PSI. Then open the three bleeder screws (one on each upper coolant pipe and one on the thermostat housing), one at a time until no more air comes out. You can put a clear hose/bleeder bottle on the bleed screws on the pipes, but I just use some paper towels on the bleeder bolt at the thermostat housing.

When you are done top up the cooling system and test drive the car with the heater on.
After the test drive, I repeat the bleeding procedure one more time, and then you are good to go.
