    What is the box behind the driver seat for?

    This is under a carpet slot behind the driver seat. There is one under the carpet on the passanger side under the seat as well.

    It looks like a plastic tray with holes it.

    Anyone know?

    It is where the computer was to be place for the F1 shifter. Since no 550 has the paddles, they put in a plastic box which looks like a poor man's cup holder.

    I had a look at this - my UK 550M has a box under the carpet behind the drivers seat, which has various cables plugged into it - no idea what is is for?
    any clues??
