    There is something below the leather that is sticking out, has anyone seen this and know how to take care of it?

    I don't know, but my guess is it is the power window hardware loosing up. Like a mounting nut.

    This is not normal and I would suggest to getting to it sooner rather than later as the leather will start to get damaged.
