Was wondering how fast the F1 shifter shifts on the 355? On my SMG M3, it shifts at 0.08 seconds on S6, highest setting.

Way slower. The 360 is rated at 150ms, and that must be in Sport Mode.
The 355 must be in the 200 to 300ms range, shift speed varies depending on the gear you're in (2-3 is noticeably faster than 3-4).
Note that the M3's SMG2 came out in 2001, 3y after the 355.
Not sure either what an SMG2 box life expectancy is when used in the high S settings.

If you want to try a super fast & super smooth sequential manual, try an Audi DSG. Boring as an auto, but an impressive technical achievement.

355 F1's is closer to a full second. Quite interesting how it is implimented as well. If you want me to make a writeup of gernally what I know and have others fill in the blanks, I can do that. I have photos of the undercarraige as well, which includes the shifting mechanisms.

"In Sport mode, selected via a button in front of the reverse
selection lever on the central console, the driver flips the
paddles as before, but changes take place at over 8,000rpm
and are faster, taking just 0.15secs. "

Mike is correct. My owners manual says the F1 shift takes 150 milliseconds.
