what is the largest aftermarket seats put into a 308/328 or 348

Ok, back with photos. used a tape measure to give you an idea. PLEASE keep in mind the seat is soooo low that you CAN NOT even get a finger under the rear/bottom/back of the seat. it is 'slammed' as low as possible so keep this in mind as for headroom measurements. To mount the seat you need:

A) Patience

B) Blood (that car demands a blood sacrifice during this experience it seems)

C) Mount the Sparco Roadster seat in the following order IF you are using side brackets. You might want to remove the center console and also cut down the small 'L' of an Allen wrench:

1) cut the (elongated hole part) piece of the BACK mounting arm one screw hole level down from the top, as the rear of the Sparco Roadster has a lip that will interfere with the OMP low mounting bracket. To get the seat as low as possible you need to cut one level of the elongated holes top/rear, from the top of the mounting arm.

2) Connect the innermost mounting bracket bottom screws to the car and tighten fully.

3) attach side screws to inside bracket but keep them loose. NOTE: This is a MAJOR PIA and why you might want to remove center console. Also, you will find that the rear/inner side screw has so little working room that you may need to use a long wrench to finish the tightening process. Blood will be drawn, drink orange juice or other sugar-filled drink.

4) Attach outermost (door side) floor bracket to car, tighten screws fully.

5) Attach outermost (door side) seat side screws to the side of the bracket. leave screws loose.

Now comes the 'fun' part... NOT!!!

6) Tighten the innermost side screws fully. There is pretty much NO ROOM to do this unless you fully removed the center console, and even then... So this is why you cut short the small 'L' part of an Allen wrench. Also, you WILL find the rear side screw has ZERO real room (the front side screw has a bit more) so using a long adjustable pipe wrench might help. We are talking about 1/2-inch of working room...

7) Tighten the outermost side screws and you are now done.

And now some pics to display the 'working' room and seat fit. NOTE: there is about 1.5-inches of room towards the door side and ZERO ROOM on the innermost side. Also, i did mount the seat with some incline so the front is higher than the rear. Mounting angle is a personal preference.

NOTE: if you go with a front/rear sliding BOTTOM mounting (unlike my side mounting) you could offset the bottom mounting holes about 0.6-inches to give you a wider bottom seat area.

If thats a sparco roadster seat crammed in there(it is) there is no fudging way, anything to accommodate my rump is going to fit in a 348.

Sorry, i don't make the cars.

FYI: am a 32-inch waist, 5' 10.5" high, weight 165 lbs. The fitment is quite good and comfortable IMHO. With helmet i pass the 'broomstick' test for track events. i GUESS the Roadster could fit up to a 34-inch waist comfortably and MAYBE someone who is 6' 2" IF YOU DO NOT COUNT HELMET space needed for track events. Weight depends on how it is distributed on your body of course.
