Possibly. Mine is a 971/2. The posted picture is of a 95.
Dear Lamborghinisti, Since 2007, I've talked to Mike at Evans Automotive about the CEL's. All the above posting is correct EXCEPT FOR THE CEL's . The L CEL is the driver side (US) and the R CEL is the passenger side (US) Cylinders 1-6 passenger side (US) Cylinders 7-12 driver side (US) Intake for cylinders 1-6 driver side Intake for cylinders 7-12 passenger side Oh....let me add..... Fuel injectors cylinder 1-6 PASSENGER SIDE Fuel injectors cylinder 7-12 DRIVER SIDE Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
What about the rear exhaust tips? Does the tips on the driver side exit gases coming from the driver side cylinder head ???
Dear Lamborghinisti, On later model Diablo with 4 cats and 4 O2 sensors: Driver side exhaust leaves 2 individual headers to Y pipe collector to primary cat. Then to secondary cat above and behind engine (now on passenger side) to passenger side inlet of large muffler and exits on driver side of muffler. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
I am confused . I have a '93 Diablo and as per the below drawing from the shop manual, Item # 8 (passenger side exhaust tip) relates to cylinder bank 7-12 (driver side). Anyone else noticed that? Is this correct? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear Lamborghinisti, Hmmm.....I had the same "boat anchor" muffler too. The driver side enters on the passenger side....it exits on the driver side...vs versa with the passenger exhaust...enters on driver side....exits on passenger side. Perhaps like my OEM Testarossa exhaust, there is some internal mixing (balancing) but inlet = opposite exit. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
My guess is that there is a change over with the introduction of the pre cats... -mick Image Unavailable, Please Login
