I am considering a 2008 Ferrari 599 and wanted to know the current market one on. The one I am looking at has a $355k sticker, 1,000 miles, and is black/black. If anyone knows the current pricing market please let me know. Thanks!

Current pricing on that car is what you are willing to pay for it.
It's really not a commodity like an ounce of gold or a pork belly. It's a specifically optioned 2008 car with a particular mileage and is different from every other used 599 available out there. What's it worth to you?

These kind of high priced cars are bought on emotion as much as they are bought on specific attributes.
The opinion of anyone else out there who hasn't bought one and is not in the market to buy one, is absolutely meaningless.

Certainly, but that doesn't mean there's not a market. While you're very right in that there are a lot of armchair quarterbacks on this site, surely those who follow the market can give some pretty good advice regarding pricing, even if they don't have one themselves...

(for the record, I follow several of the Ferrari models' markets very closely but for the very reason you stated, I never post about prices - however that doesn't mean I don't have a pretty good idea of what 'good' and 'bad' deals are, even though I don't own the cars -- just food for thought)

The car that I am considering is a 2008 599GTB Black/Saddle, F1, Yellow Tach, Polished Wheels, Ceramic Brakes, Full Carbon Fiber Interior, F1, Ferrari Ipod, 1,500 miles, $355k sticker. What would be a fair price to offer the guy. He has $385k in it with taxes. Thanks for your feedback!

Happily surprised at those numbers. I wonder what Jim G.'s take on this would be.

about 3 weeks ago, when i was looking, 50 to 65 under sticker. i've been offered a few 320ish kind of cars for 255, 260, 265.
jus tnot a car i'd buy right now. i dont agree with the dudes who feel they will nick on down to 100k. but i could see those cars for low 200s no problem at all. i think the 330ish msrps were really high to begin with. 30k or so of that from a price increase from i think it was 2007 to 2008.
i dont think the market has recovered but maybe it stabilized a bit.
anyway, thats my take on things.

As others have said there are many factors that go into it. The region of the country and time of year can be a factor. This time of year, in Florida, you can find cars with about 500 miles on them for about sticker. I am talking about Dealer cars. Cars listed on Ebay for sale in Florida can vary also. I would narrow down exactly what you want in paint and options, find that car or cars and get your best price and buy it. When its all over you will be happy that you got what YOU wanted and not just the cheapest car.

Does your friend deal in Maserati? Considering a 2002-2004 coupe as a backup commuter car. Prices are getting tempting

We have a 2008 car with 1800 miles for 330k(F-1, power daytonas, straping in red, monolitic wheels, red calipers, carbon fibre for driving zone, carbon for lower cabin, iPod, Electrochromatic mirror,front/rear park sensors, upholstered top, rear shelf leather, bose hifi, and all stitchings in color). One owner, from here, 353k sticker and 6 months old. I think the prices that you have been hit with are pretty much in line.

You will love whatever car you buy, period! The car at Formula One looks nice, not sure about the dealer as I do not know them. I have dealt with Sports Car Company in the past, good people (I don't personally know Rick but I do know Jim).
