First signs in Uk that this could be true with one authorised dealer in Uk quoting new price less 15k.

Cars are selling sub 200 easily. Lots of cars actually selling in the 180 range now, which is less than MSRP.

Spiders seem to be holding strong.

Certainly much lower then now as the elusive 430 nears. The CS just happens to be the latest thing, for now.

don't kid yourselves.....ALL 360's are coming down, and not just because of the 430...exotics are softening across the board...nothing to be alarmed at, but worth watching

I agree that prices seem to be softening across the board for exotics. Why buy a GT2 for $200k when you can get a Gt3 for half the price. As ford comes out and floods the market with their GT car watch prices drop even further. The european manufacturers have miscalculated values (euro?).
F cars will always have premium, but I wouldn't want to buy a 360 just yet. Wait another six months and they might be close to $100k for an early year. 550's seems like a real bargain at or below $100k, when a 575 is closer to $200k. Lambo's are also way off sticker. 500 hp Z06 @ $50k doesn't help either.

i'm not sure "hit the skids" is an accurate categorization. i mean if there are cars that are a year old that had stickers of 196 selling for 185, well that's 5.6% depreciation in a year. that hardly sucks in the cosmic scheme of things. let's see - i've purchased exactly zero new cars that have depreciated so little in a year. not even sure i've purchaed a used car that depreciated so little in a year!

and if you live in la-la-land expect to pay more. i hear they're including a tube of KY now with each f-car purchase --- down from a tub, so that's an improvement.

wattster is right - just shut up and write the check :)

Many of the comments concerning the CS values substantially falling is baloney. This car is limited production and has performance numbers as good if not better than the 430. Many of the "new" features of the 430 are taken from the CS.

The car will maintain its value because it is a niche type car which is in and will continue to be in demand.

    Hi

Just got a nero 2004 CS for about 200k new. no more cars are available as the last few are in market and that's it.

this is an expensive car, ferrari spared no cost to make this one special. those who do not know can speculate.

eg : cs front carb brakes are 380m, on a 430 you get 360m. cs is faster, lighter, stops better, but has a weaker engine. go figure the costs involved to make a car light using bigger brakes and more carbon parts.

i love my cs. may get a 430 spider as a second, plan to keep my cs for a long time.

soon without the 430 shipping and no cs for sale, prices are going to stay high. some may want to pay more than srp.

Anyone knows how many CS's have been manufactured since they first came out a year ago 2003 ?

That is very important issue when you judge the resale value of the car especially in highly performed Ferraris like 288GTOs,Challenges,CS,F40s,50s,ENZOs, etc. They only make them few hundreds I think...

Mine was one of the last production from Ferrari in last September 2004, and I've ordered 5 month ago with options I've requested.

By the time I've ordered, i've paid 15,000 Euro only for premium , and Tatal cost came up with 170,000 excluded European taxes (16% in Germany)

Ferrari has already made about 1100-1200 units of the CS. I have some information and if someone can fill in the blanks, we will all know more.
I am in Tokyo, Japan and bought a parallel import, black CS like yours without the stripes.

I also had a choice to buy a December 15 delivery of Rosso Scuderia ZFFDT57B0001398XX as well as a only in Japan special unit of ZFFDT57J0001387XX Cornes Aniverary 25 unit.

The intresting thing is that the ZFFDT57B0001398XX is so new, that it is even later than that of a few F430 that has been numbered for order delivery to customers.

So they are making F430 and CS one after the other?

So there was supposed to be only 900 CS, and now there is 1200 and a few more are maybe being squized in. I think this is good since it just shows how much people, once they learn more about the car want it.

PS : I was in Seoul Korea last week. Do you drive it there ?

Good to talking to you my friend^^

Yes, what you have stated regarding Quantity could be right, because what I've heard about CS Q's and information is from AUTO SALON SINGEN in South Germany 3-4 month ago. I think it's not Official Ferrari dealer.

I'll check my CS's VIN # when I get it next week or so.

Where you live in? Lokbonki? I sometime visit in tokyo for business and enjoy Sashimi, Cold Sake, Ramen etc...
I think there are lots of good stuff to enjoy in Nippon.

If you let me know your Mobile #, I'll phone you before I take off Seoul^^

Also If you have a chance to visit Seoul , Call me before you leave, I'll take you Apkujung-dong to see the beautiful girls and nice Korean Barbecue^^ after you finish your work done.

Anyway , Your CS is stunning and shinning like Black Opal.

    Hey Watt,

What are red Stradales selling for?
Is it true the majority of the cars produced are red?

    TIA, Kurt

Nobody wants to wrap one around a moose in the coming months! ;)
Kidding aside, I would think the current and near future weather up there must have something to do with that.
