What is the most ridiculous car you have ever seen with a vinyl roof?

Any car looks ridiculous with a vinyl roof, in my opinion.

They all look pretty stupid! There is a OLD Chevy Suburban with a vinyl roof running around me here in Dallas, probably mid 80's. I've also seen an black escalade with a black vinyl roof.

 

L430 with a vinyl top. I think they're called a landau top. Also had wires on it.

 

Opera windows and a "gold kit"....NOW yer talking!

 

A white 350Z. It was on Ebay a few times, hideous.

Back in Houston, quite a few years ago, there was a new (at the time) Z32 300zx SR-71 edition. (one of what... 8?)

 

Hmm, I've never heard of it before. I tried Google's image search, but the image of it was down. The thumbnail showed a red 300ZX (in Houston) with a weird bodykit, but I couldn't see the top (looked black though).

I found a picture of the 350Z with the vinyl roof, this is definitely not a roadster because this is a 2003 Z and the Roadsters came out in 2004. I saw one with it all.

There is a heavily oxidized, oil burning, maroon ford tempo I see every now and then. It has a nice shiny vinyl roof, a continental kit, and large chrome wheels.
I don't even know where to go to find these items.

I don't understand any of this. Spend the money on a good used civic or something and have a reliable car.

 

What? Get a crappy little civic when you can have something with CLASS!?!


Ever notice any car with one of those airbrushed front license plates that in cursive says: "A Touch of Class" never has any? Always a Floridian in a 10 year old Continental or Caddy.

 

LOL, here those are on old astro vans from the country. They all have chrome trimmed running boards and the owners names airbrushed on the spare tire cover.

 

The SR-71 was quite rare find. If memory serves there were only 8 that were made. I believe they were the Steve Millin signature edition models. I believe they went somewhere between 50-58K each. Fuzzy memories, I'll have to look more into it.

 

Hey, my 72 Ford Maverick had vinyl. Would have loved it w/ or w/out. Gold car w/ cream vinyl. I've seen a few street racers made from this car. Sweet.

I used to have a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a vinyl top, but it was the same colour as the rest of the vehicle, so most people couldn't tell. Didn't look bad, and was actually quite a rare factory option.

I worked at a Ford dealer way back in the late Seventies. We used to sell new Pinto wagons with vinyl roofs and opera windows. Yikes! Bad taste alert! Lots of them were shocking orange.

 

Not the worst, but filed in the "WTF file", I have a neighbor down the street, ex-Floridian retiree that has a landau roof with those gold curvey "S" thingies and a gold kit on his new Caddy CTS. I'm not kidding.

Not vinyl, but a guy that installed carpet at our house had a Dodge work van completely covered in blue-black outdoor carpet.

Some rapper had a Yellow Barchetta and the trunk was vinyl with the LV logo's plastered all over it.
